Tuesday

I woke up 5 minutes before the alarm & that felt really good :). Yesterday when the alarm went off I was annoyed, thought who the hell has set it for so early & then I remembered it was Monday :(. It wasn't a good start!!!!

I was tired, hungry & thirsty all day. I think I came close to drinking 5 litres of water! If not more, I really lost count. When I got to the gym at 5.30 I did 30 mins on the elliptic but struggled to keep the speed up. & when James showed me what to do, I just couldn't take it in. LOL. Total brainfart!! He just shook his head & patiently showed me again & I still got it wrong. I had to deadlift a 15kg bar, bring it into the chest, squat down on to a ball then come up & push press the bar overhead. Then I had to to chin ups with a wide grip. To make it interesting he raised the weight between each set. the bar startet at 15kg, 17.5kg, 20kg & when he changed it to 25kg on the last set I just shook my head. He grinned: If you couldn't do it, I wouldn't put that weight on. Just picture yourself when you have done 10 reps!!!! & he was right, I was a quivering heap at the end but I did it :)))!

I think I am really getting stronger. Yesterday I was trying to open our stuck back garage door & broke the handle in the process. Opps. & the other day LB was trying to get the chainsaw startet with no success. I pulled it once! Then again its just a little scary, cause I still don't think of myself as being strong. I don't seem to know my own strength , yet. Like everything else it will take time to get used to!

I made porridge this morning with buckwheat flakes (trying to lay of gluten a little). It was edible but I don't think I repeat it! Maybe they are good for pancakes? LB is not keen when I make them with coconut flour. I made 1 yesterday with just 1 egg & 1 banana. Pretty tasty but weird texture.

I am looking forward to go to Germany for a week at the beginning of Feb. I was trying to go over for my mums birthday last week, but by the time I had thought about it, the flights were just rediculous expensive. So instead I will be there for my sis birthday :)

So today I am full of beans :) Lets see what this day will bring!

Hope you all have a good one!

Your journal is just pulsing with energy today! Great job with your workout. I have trouble with those compound exercises, too. Oliver throws one at me every once in a while - maybe it's to keep our brains engaged, too. LOL. I had to laugh at the image of you pulling the handle off the garage door. Superwoman, you! I'm not a big fan of buckwheat, in general, but I do know that oat bran makes a tasty porridge - not sure about any gluten content in oats, though. It's always fun to have a trip to look forward to. Maybe you can make the date as a goal to be a certain weight - I usually find that motivating. Have a wonderful day :)
