Llamapalooza53's Journal, 04 Apr 19

I’m so completely washed out. After I got the kiddo on the bus at 8:00, I came right home and made some eggs. Then I just laid down on the couch. I didn’t get comfy so got in my bed and didn’t get up until 2:00. I fried two more eggs and then just walked the dogs to the mailboxes about 1-1/2 blocks, and back. Ughhh kinda hot already. Back at the house and feel like someone drained every ounce of energy I have. And I weighed, with clothes and shoes, back up to 210. I suppose my clothes can weigh 5 lbs, plus iPhone in my pocket so I won’t get too alarmed about that. I believe the Simple Truth cage free organic eggs are also less carbs. Not sure eggs can actually have a difference in flavor but I think I’ll buy the brown eggs from now on. Ugh. My mouth tastes terrible but I’m not around anybody to ask if my breath is bad. I’ll assume it is.

I do think some eggs taste better than others. Are you doing an "egg diet"?

@Llamapalooza53, the color of the eggshell is a factor of the hen's breed; they don't taste differently. I hear some taste differently; that may be a matter of preference. I can't (and don't want to) pay more for the "best" or "organic," since I think sometimes such labels are ... um ... inaccurate. Pasture-raised hens are actually "better," since they actually feed on the natural foods, like insects, on grass. "Free-range" hens have *access* to the out-of-doors, but they still may be fed the same stuff as "factory-raised" hens.

[CONTINUED] Don't worry about the carbohydrate count in an egg. The difference in the number of grams of carbohydrates from one egg to another is negligible (measured in tenths or hundredths of a gram -- not even 1) and a factor, usually, of the *size* of the egg, not the variety.
