gzink5's Journal, 10 Feb 19

Well the last two days I have been eating a lot of food. Reason is I kinda feel like it is my last meals. I have to go tomorrow for a cardiac catheterization which could lead to a stent or stents. My logic tells me it is a routine procedure nothing to worry about. My unrealistic fears tell me it could by my last day(s).

The reason is 30 plus years ago my dad died. He was going to have this brand new procedure "cardiac catheterization" the fear of this wade heavy on this mind and he gave himself a Massive Heart Attack. I know I have issues as I have apparently had a mild heart attack myself sometime within the last 6 months, they also tell me a possible extremely stroke.

What gets me is my LDL/HDL are darn near perfect! My Blood Pressure is Perfect, all of the EKG I have had are perfect, Strong pulse, etc. However, some of the recent tests showed my heart is only pumping at 45% efficiently. The Cardiac specialist and surgeon tells me this is most likely due to diabetes which constrict my blood vessels.

I know this has nothing to do with what type of food I made today are how much weight I have lost are am losing. But it should be a warning to all of those who have someone who has Diabetes are is overweight to lose the weight and have there heart checked out.

I am sure everything will be fine. I also have diabetes in the family and after being obese all my adult life I decided to finally lose the weight at 50 years old. The first step for me was logging every day. I see that you are doing that. You will succeed. Good luck!
