Monday - Feb 4th

Having been here before at least five or six times before (got my mojo working and health improved) I’ve experienced the attack of the ((hopefully innocent well meaning)) sabotagers. I hope this time around works for the rest of my life and my maturity level is ready to deal,

You know the folks. They say things like ‘you don’t want to be too strict, you need to treat yourself now and then,and you have earned a reward’. To them I say ‘Ptoui Ptoui’ (spitting at bad juju). I just don’t say it outloud.

As unbelievable as it sounds, I don’t feel deprived eating LCHF. Maybe because once I managed to make it through the first couple of weeks without the breads and sweets I truly don’t miss nor crave them. I mean, don’t leave me loitering around fresh hot cornbread unobserved or anything like that but I otherwise don’t miss it. The fat and protein keep me from feeling hungry. Eating clean helps me from not crave processed food. I had an Herbalife Iced Coffee Saturday and it seemed too sweet. When I do occasionally want ‘something’ after a meal I enjoy a Keto-One cup (dark chocolate and coconut butter, one carb).

So I keep a supply of responses in my back pocket ala ‘If you feel you need to cheat on your diet you’re being too strict’ and ‘I’m not a dog, I don’t reward myself with food’, etc. I just smile and nod at the enablers. Everyone has their own experiences and agenda. Few will ever really know or understand mine.

Yes, you are truly in the zone!! Good for you!! I have them here as well, even though they are well meaning. Once I get back in the zone, they won't even try to tempt me. I will have give them the look ... you know the one ... 😳 "horrified that they should even suggest such a thing!" LOL!

Whoop!Whoop! Yes, you got this. Love it when everything 'clicks' and I feel strong, empowered and in that zone. This is our year to fully own the new lifestyle :)

"I'm not a dog. I don't reward myself with food." I LOVE THAT, FullaBella! I'm going to use it in my "self-talk" from now on! (My husband appreciated it, too, because we've trained our dog so well that he's "kidnap" anything he can get his little paws on and "hold it for ransom" until we give him a treat!)
