My daughter and I were working on her prom gown today - what a mess! In the end it looks great but so many times we had to do and redo a piece because we weren't paying attention to the directions. Luckily she is a beautiful girl and the dress is just a decoration for the real show! My baby.

I have been eating lightly, and I have to up the amount of water I drink. Still feeling down but I do seem to sense a horizon about to break beyond this particular set of sad sad trees in my forest.

The flowers in my yard are helping - the Stella Doro daylilies are all over the place! And my volunteer wild roses, too. Very cheery!

My weight seems to be stalled still, but I can just feel that things will break in that regard soon - I do think I am adjusting to the night work, and I tell you, the sleeping is fine! Because I work 9 pm to 5 am, I sleep 6 am to whenever - it's great to not have to get up to go to work right away!

I cooked up some pancakes and set them into 200 calorie servings, and I put my snack things aside after counting the calories of what was there - once I get to the supermarket I'll fill in and have a weekly allotment of food totalling 1200 calories a day. I think I mentioned this diet plan before and now I seem to have some energy for thinking about food and cooking and planning again. I'm basically down to whining and feeling sorry for myself about 3 minutes a day now - odd, I know, but it's been good for me.

I am officially into Tuesday here - have a great Tuesday!

3 minutes isn't much...that's great. How talented to make your daughters prom dress. I have trouble sewing a button. lol You will get back in line with the eating. It's hard adjusting to a new schedule and you have been making many new adjustments lately. Have a great day!

Wow, Abba, I have been away for a few days, but you do honestly sound like things are coming up. I like how you are getting your foods prepared in advance. Makes it nice, especially when you just don't feel like counting or figuring the calories. I do that with snack items too, like pretzels, etc. Put them into baggies (whatever the serving size is). 1200 calories is not a lot, so don't drop too low or you will be tempted to cheat. You need enough to keep the metabolism going. I used to sew years ago but have not had the time or inclination for quite some time. Very talented you are. Hope you had a great Tuesday also and a good Wednesday also!!

Sadness often comes and goes in waves, at least for me. What I love is that you are still here, connecting with others, cheering us on and being quite conscious of what you are traversing through at this time in your life. I do hope you are on the crest of change, change that will bring some rays of sunshine and hope into your life!! Sounds like you have a good plan for food and so glad you are able to sleep!!! Did you ever join that historical society group or whatever it was with plenty of men???? LOL!!
