abbadabba's Journal, 23 May 10

Ok, this job is strange - two guys just walked by, one carrying a table and the other wheeling a baby carriage and wearing a lampshade on his head. They must have been trash collecting for their apartment, since the baby carriage was full of household goods.

Last week, Thursday night, I saw a skunk wandering down the sidewalk - he must have been aggravated by a cat or something because he sprayed and made the area just awful to be in - mind you, we are in the middle of the city and right next to the airport - there are no woods or anything for a skunk to live in! Maybe they have a place over at the YMCA park...

I brought some snacks tonight for myself so I wouldn't have to go and buy anything - maybe I'll go get a salad somewhere too.

My older daughter is thinking of going to her grandmother's next Sunday - however, grandmother is not going to be at her beach house until June 15th or later - I am having a hard time with that idea, daughter alone! Seems like I am not going to spend any quality time with my older one after all, except this week. Her dad is out of town until next week - he won't get to see her either. Tsk. I know they have to grow up but it's hard to live with it! It's always something. My dad's comment this weekend: if you aren't dead, you are changing!

Hope you have a good Monday!

I think I can put the lampshade for a hat idea to good use, you should have gotten a picture. :-) The lack of a weigh-in is a concern but I'm sure that you will handle it. Be well, and have a great Monday abba!

Abba I can relate to how you are feeling. They grow up quick and as you told me we have to let them go. I know it is easier said then done but I am sure that in time we will both get better at it.

Sounds like the job is, at the very least, interesting! I can not imagine seeing that sight you described! Made me chuckle heartily! As to the skunk-they live anywhere and eat just about anything so they are very adaptable. We had one under the deck at one time. Amonia of all things is what sent her packing...

Mind you, it was late at night (close to midnight, maybe?) so I don't know how a picture would have come out since I have no flash. Not weighing in because there is no change! I'll kick the scale and see it that helps.
