Good Grief, what is the matter with me???? I am having a terrible time getting back on program. It seems like the only day I am committed to my plan is the day before I have to weigh in! Every other day of the week is filled with cheating and craving. Today I am starting anew. Wish me luck.

That’s a sign of the diet being to restricted. Have you tried a balance diet? Where u can have one serving of what you crave and still make sure u are at a Caloric deficit?

What would happen if you weighed every day? I know there is a ton of debate about this! For me - it is the only way I can keep myself accountable on a day to day basis!

I will try both suggestions! Thank you for caring enough to comment and make the suggestions.

we have to keep trying, I find being on this site and logging in what I eat is helping me

Finally! I had a really good day. I stuck to my plan and didn't cave in. I boiled a dozen eggs and got a case of V-8 vegetable juice cans. That really helped. I noticed right away I was having to pee a lot more. I am taking all the suggestions to heart and I want to thank everyone for positive reinforcement. I am going to log my food more faithfully.

@diehard3 - For me step one is 'always log'. Like today, I ate so much today that logging was painful, but if I don't log this data and look at it (and the results) I will never make the adjustments I need to not do the same thing tomorrow. In my case I just need to not eat in the morning.

Good to hear you had a good day.🌞 I have found that if I log before I eat, it's easier to stick to the plan.

Great ideas and I was going to suggest weighing everyday and logging.

somebody on here suggested that you log in your meal BEFORE you eat and I find that is helping me a lot!

True, I plan my meals and eat just what was planned. I'm reading "The Diabetes Code" by Dr. Fung and that is very motivating too. It has seemed to me that I have more difficulty staying in plan in the fall. Maybe our ancient instincts are telling us we need to bulk up for the winter because for our hunter-gatherer predecessors it was a time of food scarcity. My cat seems to be eating more too.
