MrsMagyk's Journal, 28 Sep 18

Had my dad's 70th birthday dinner on Tuesday. The older I get, the more I appreciate everything that my parents have sacrificed over the years for my brother and I. I couldn't ask for better parents. I did have a cheat day and had a spinach calabrese and a dessert. It was over my rdi by quite a bit, but I haven't eaten over 1200 calories in a long time. I'm sure my weight has gone up, but I know I will lose it. Just have to eat light and get back on track.

We all went shopping with my daughter for dress clothes yesterday. She is going to homecoming Saturday and is excited about it. She has been having some problems with people bullying her recently, so I am happy she is going. My mom and I are going to the homecoming parade today and my daughter is going to be painting faces at the football game tonight. She is very artistic and is excellent at what she does. I'm glad that she has art to express herself in a healthy way.

She has been eating healthier and is exercising in p.e. at school. I'm pretty sure she will be back in shape in no time. I am proud of her for taking the initiative and doing what is expected of her in gym class. They do fitness days where they workout in the weight room. Those days are better than the others, because the more physical the exercise, the more she has to use her inhaler.

My hubby has lost about 9 inches overall in the past month and a half. He is back up to 200lbs though, but at least he is seeing improvements. I am proud of him for trying to be healthier. I would like for him to be able to get off of the cholesterol medication. Although his cholesterol was lower when he had his blood checked recently, he still needs to eat healthier.

Other than that, nothing else really going on around here. Sorry for such a long post. As always, thank you to all of my supporters. It would be hard to be on this journey without you.

it is different for everyone. But personally I don't always gain weight when I go over on my RDI. as long as I keep the balance of my macros. and my husband's the same way only he's not on anything near a keto diet. but as long as he generally eats the same types of foods his body doesn't care if he goes over every now and then it's not a guarantee for either of us to gain. :-) and that is wonderful to hear about your daughter and homecoming it's so important to learn to be comfortable with your body before you're in your 30s or older. I hope you guys enjoy this time together and I hope she has lots of fun. :-)
