BuffyBear's Journal, 24 Aug 12

No surprise on the weight gain this week. Had already planned to do some extensive shopping, planning & regrouping this weekend, so I know it will be back down by next weigh in on Monday.

Now for the good news! Came home last night and DH had my new door in! You see, we had a garage attached to the house but no door from the house to the garage. Was not very convenient.

Anyway, I am very excited. Now I can rearrange my kitchen because I now have all this new storage space! And I might as well clean as I go along - that will burn a few extra calories!

So, today I am thankful for a door.

Hooray for the door! Funny how the little things can make such a big difference. Sounds like DH is a bit like me; I get more of kick out of getting something done while she's away (especially if she's not expecting it) than I do if I do it because she's nagging me to get it done. I know I have to do these things anyway, but the kid in me wants to surprise her now and then.

Can't imagine not having a door there, so that's great news you now have one! That should make things a whole lot easier in inclement weather! Have a great, regrouping weekend without TOO much cleaning.... :)!

DairyKing - And it was a surprise - I knew it was coming but thought it was one of those "someday" projects! Of course he could tell I was happy - had to call my Sister and tell her about it!

Sandy - It was just one of those little things that I had learned to live without. Funny, it took me all evening to adjust to the change, but our dog learned on the spot where the cupboard went that his treats were stored in.

Tracy - Try moving the cat food and see how long it takes for your brood to notice!

I am so excited for you! I can imagine how you must feel, being able to get out of the car and walk into the house... especially when it cold and rainy. Yehaw! Plus, storage space... an extra boon. We all need that! Happy for ya! Hugs!
