This is for SoCalPam— I looked at your MRI when you posted it and spotted the tear and the arthritis. This is a photo of a site that might have some useful information. I might suggest Googling miniscus tear treatment options—- there are some, so that when you talk to your doctor you have some basic info. Hope this helps.

Well, thank you, Kenna! This will be a helpful read. The arthritis is surprising me because last October my X-ray showed "mild" arthritis (according to the doc) and this doc is saying "severe". I guess it depends on who's doing the diagnosing (and how good the insurance might be). This is a new adventure for me.

Remember— the Radiologist is the one who reads the MRI and sends the report to your doctor. Other than getting paid for reading the MRI he has no vested interest in the result. But I alway encourage people to get their own copies of every single, lab test, X-ray, scan, ekg, whatever, so you have your own file to review.
