Friday, I bought a new car! Yay.
But transitions are hard. Change can be a long time coming, quite sudden, a sudden switch in plans, a well-planned change that goes according to plan over years or months or days, or due to a death of a loved one. Or all of the above. Usually all of the above, and the more stuff you have to confront or move, the more stress. Which is why moving your home from one place to another is one of the more stressful things you can do, packing, sorting, disposing of the past, anticipating the unknown future.
I have been on a plateau with my weight, but I look in the mirror and my face is thinner. My lower legs don't seem to have any fat on them. All of the extra seems to be hanging around my middle, and the body fat scale says 34% which is staying the same. I weighed this morning, weight seems to be the same as it was the last weigh in which oddly mean there will be a drop in the next couple of days, actually.
Sticking to calorie today sort of, just randomly.
This situation with the farmer is a transition too - it reminds me that my dad is gone, since I basically stopped dating when he got sick 5 years ago. He passed away 3 years ago and I still haven't started dating. Cleaning out my house includes packing up his papers that I have been working on as his personal rep for the estate. I hate working on it because I don't like remembering.
Texted the farmer yesterday, we chatted all day. He is supposed to get back in the area this week but expressed no interest in getting together when he gets back. And nothing today. But I think he is driving to visit his daughter and on the road some I think he likes me but we have busy lives. His staying on vacation an extra week means all his work is backing up so he's probably not coming to a dance for a while once he gets back. If ever - since his dances in his own area will start up again soon. I am convinced I will not ever see him again in person. Ah, well, the story isn't over til the fat lady sings! Or former fat lady. The process is ongoing but I feel like this interest in someone to date is a significant pivot point in my life more about where I am in a long grieving process than in any dating process.
Got veggies and good protein packed up for the week and ready to go to work with me tomorrow. August starts Wednesday and I will be ON TRACK by then. Must be!
Such a busy weekend. New car, fun conversation, cleaned up the yard, transplanted milkweed into my butterfly garden, and got to the gym finally too. Started up on the bathroom rehab again. Went to several stores shopping for supplies, food, bird food. I wore myself out. Almost recovered in time to go to work tomorrow. :(
Hope you are having a great weekend!

I can relate to so much of what you shared! Grief takes its own sweet time, that is for sure. What kind of car did you get?
