Great article on metabolic adaptation— it’s a little old but still relevent. The link is listed top left. This is just an image of the header. I don’t know how to do a live link.

if you are on the article page, just right click on the link(in the google or msn search bar), hit copy and then when you get to your journal right click on the page and hit paste. It is pretty easy once you get the hang of it.

The above is just a random related article. Couldn’t paste it in the journal— same as always, but it did post here, just isn’t LIVE.. The above article is long and it is a medical article. I am metabolically adapted to an extent because My usual intake is about 1300 calories give or take. I swim every day for two hours. Even at a slower pace it is still 400-500 calories. You would think I would be completely skin and bones, but I have been swimming and hiking so many years that my body works very efficiently and I am probably burning off half that much. I have decent muscle and strength for someone 70– that’s what swimming does— good shoulders and arms. Well, I will keep working on this posting article problem. Thanks again.

Just Google the concept— metabolic adaptation and lots of I formation will come up. Check out a few of the articles, look for reliable sources and compare what they say. I am a research freak and spend my life going to school. It doesn’t take long to figure out the sources. I am always skeptical to say the least of material I read from sites that are selling the “magic bullet “ . As a medical person, I subscribe to lots of sites that I subscribe to and pay for access..
