New keyboard! Yay!
July - new focus! Today is the first day of my commitment to an old plan. I took a list of foods from a few years ago, tweaked it to what I actually eat, and then plugged it into happyforks.com to get a calorie count for the whole list. Comes out to about 1100 calories a day with about 28 grams of fiber.
So, the point is, I have two shelves in the fridge and one shelf in the pantry which are dedicated to the "food for the week" - that is my base menu, 7 days worth. Then anything else that I eat that is off those 3 shelves, I add in. Like I had a piece of a cookie and logged that on top of the standard. In the end, the month will be averaged out. If I have stuff leftover on day 8, then I don't have to log eating the leftovers as all the items have been accounted for.
My plan is to get that 1 to 1.5 pound a week loss that I had going on in 2016 which will involve getting in 10,000 steps on the fitbit every day. Dance days will be easy - I get 6000 steps at a dance, no problem. On the other days, I will have to either get to the gym on the treadmill or else take a good walk each day to hit the 10k steps.
Of course, today is 90 degrees out so not sure whether we'll get to the dance or not - no AC at the dance! We could alternately go to the mall and walk instead. The weather, of course for the week is in the 90's also. Got invited to a BBQ, also can invite myself to another. Both potluck so that means I can bring whatever I want. I have a plan to make a watermelon gazpacho which is a sweet item that doesn't have added sugar if I don't want and is quite light. I have to decide between mint or cilantro as the herbal note - I like both!
At 1100 calories, I am at approximately a 250-calorie a day deficit. At 10,000 steps, I am burning about 1800 calories a day. Technically with 1200 in and 1800 out, I should be getting over a pound a week weight loss. CICO has worked successfully along for me, so now is the push in order to get to goal by Christmas. Of this year. 6 months to lose umm, 39 pounds? Can't have a month like June that is for sure if I am going to hit my goal!
Happy Sunday!

It sounds complicated to me, but if it works for you, then great! You should be able to use that weight by Christmas. I just lost 10 pounds in a month, and even with the metabolism slowing down, etc., I think keeping up the pace is workable. Good luck!
