Yummy... I just baked Udi's Gluten Free Pizza Crust with cooked ground turkey, tomato sauce, low fat cheese, onions, mushrooms, peppers, olive oil and seasonings! One half of the pizza with a nice salad makes a great dinner.

Half of the pizza is: 390 calories, 24 protein, 35 carbs, 18 fats,
375 sodium, and 3.5 fiber. Not bad, considering how much fat, carbs and sodium are in "real" pizza - and you could reduce the fat by omitting the olive oil, and you could use low sodium tomato sauce. And, I get to freeze the other half of the pizza so I can just pop it in the oven next time I want pizza.

aside from those yucky fungi, i'd eat that! i went thru a phase of making my own homemade pizza from scratch (dough for the crust and all). my fav - bbq pork with mango, red onion, & assorted peppers.

it was! it really was. my friend was skeptical at first, but she trusted me. seriously, best pizza of my life. homemade cornmeal/whole wheat crust with all that on it. to die for. i like mine thin & crispy.

Yup - homemade is so much better because you can control the ingredients easily. And come up with weird and unexpected variations! Like mango - Trader's Joe's makes a Mango Butter (like jam) that I use to cook with in stir fry with shrimp! Tastes like sweet and sour shrimp without the sodium and million calories.

Yeah Clifford - If you can do the carbs one time, the Udi's Gluten free Crusts are good tasting - and more like pizza than the low carb tortilla. but everyone has their own preference.

I have not had any pizza in a very long time! Yours sounds very good! Maybe I should try on vegan style. Congrats on the awesome meal! :)

Pizza...mmm. I've been wanting to try the new GF store brand BOLD, but nobody near me carries it. :-( There is a Jungle Jim's about an hour away that has it and my GF flour Domata living flour that I want to try. But an 2-hour total drive is not worth it. Hopefully the new one opening up near me will have them. Have you tried BOLD or any other GF pizzas?? With salad is good. (Hmm, I could make an italian salad...love those!)

That sounds yummy, I love to make pizza. I think homemade pizza is way better than store bought or what I buy locally where I live,

ummm...maybe I'll take a hit for this, but, I eat regular pizza, with the works...just limit my portion to 6 ounces (and blot off some of the grease, lol).

Limited portions, or make your own. What ever works!

Totally agree, gg :)

Sounds delish, there are so many foods you can make yourself and cut down the calories and still taste good.
