Happy Friday the 13th everyone!

I am still in celebration mode - for Sandy701 reaching her goal. See folks - it can be done - Congratulations again Sandy!

This has made me think about my goal weight. After all, it is just a number on a scale. How do we really know which number to choose? Will the number that suited us when we were 20 still look good on us when we are 50?

Guess I just need to get there to find out?

Well, I could have gone all day without someone telling me it was Friday the 13th! Hahaha; I hadn't even realized it. So far, so good - although I have already indulged in a sausage, egg and cheese biscuit, blueberry muffin, and chocolate milk. That's not bad luck though, just indiscretion. I really wonder about the practicality of shooting for a weight we had in our 20's. I know that I have more muscle under this cushion than I had in my 20's, and I'm not sure about whether your bones get any bigger after age 20 or not. But, I'm pretty sure my ideal weight at age 20 would not be my ideal weight at my current age. I finally threw away my last remaining 32" waist pants; I don't think it's practical to ever think I would fit into those - even if I achieved the goal weight I posted.

Hey Buffy..yes a goal is good..I really need to start thinking about my goal again..I don't really want to weigh what I did in my 20's..I would look like a bag of bones with skin hanging off of them...not a pretty picture I just saw of my self...LOL..Have a great day...:O)

I was at my lowest weight in my 30's! But, I don't see myself getting down to that weight again. I consider my initial goal tentative at best. It is hard to say what is a realistic/appropriate weight until we get much close to that level. What do we look/feel like? How much of a struggle will it be to lose the last twenty pounds or maintain that weight? Those are questions I can't answer yet. But I hope to be in the position to make those decisions in the next year or two.

DairyKing - I agree! And as for throwing away those size 32's - they'd probably dry rot anyway - LOL.

Bren - I know what you mean. Hopefully, we'll be smart enough to know what our ideal weight is when we get there.

yduj57 - You are thinking along the same lines as I am! Fortunately FS allows us to change our goal weight and I believe I'll be taking advantage of that feature - just don't know yet if it will be up or down.

I was my lowest weight when I was in my 40's, and will never be there again, but I really don't think my goal weight is unrealistic... and I'm really not trying for that weight again. We all know when we are feeling good, and clothes aren't fitting tight any more, what is best for each of us.

Notfast - I think it is interesting that your lowest weight was during your 40' and yduj57's was during her 30's. Your point about feeling good is very important. I've seen people who have lost a lot of weight and look like crap!

THIS IS SOMETHING I DEAL WITH ON A DAILY BASIS... EVEN AS A TEENAGER, I WAS NEVER SMALL. I MUST UNDERSTAND THAT I WILL NEVER BE TINY. I JUST NEED TO GET HEALTHY, NOT MATTER WHAT SIZE THAT MAY BE.

Hey Buffy, thanks for another congratulatory mention! My original goal in my head was 135, about what I was when I got married, as a fully mature (maybe) adult. LOL! But that was that dreaded 100 pound number, so I went for 90 instead. Now that I'm there, is there extra fat on me right now? Yes. And I'm not talking about a runway model's kind of "extra fat." But, I feel great, so this will do for the next 5-6 months and I'll re-evaluate then. Hopefully, the re-shaping that supposedly happens after major weight loss will happen and I'll know if my belly fat migrates to my neck! Or, if anyone would like a bit extra for themselves, perhaps that could be arranged. LOL!

BeautifulYno - You are so right - our health should be our first priority!

Sandy - I did not know about the re-shaping that takes place. Is this a good re-shaping? Please don't let our belly fat migrate to our necks - I just got rid of one of my double chins!

Buffy, I NEED some extra around my neck (not my chin) to take up some of this Saggy Baggy Elephant skin! BTW....how did I miss that pound you lost? You're doing great with your new tweak on calories....just look at that graph!

First...Super Congrats to you too! Another pound down you are! You & Sandy701 are doing so great, warms my heart so to say this to both of you...I am so very proud of you & incredibly happy for you! I just get the giggles as I read the posts of the re-shaping & migrating & which direction what is going...I get confused, happy that you guys are happy, because THAT is what is best about this whole WOE/WOL...ahhhh, it just feels so good!! Besides, what's one double chin here or there amongst friends anyway...LOL! Have a great day!

Sandy - you can have some of mine - I have a nice "sturdy" neck - LOL.

gg- I appreciate that! Although I am not as diligent as you or Sandy I do keep plugging along. Hope this weekend you get some rain and a boat ride.
