Today was scary 😅
It's been a long while since I've done Barbell Squats due to me left knee (I have loose cartilage floating around in there). Last time I went this heavy was April 2022.
I have to say I did pretty well though, but I could feel my hamstrings and glutes cramping up. Had to adjust my workout to avoid locking up or cramping but it worked out for leg day B.
Today is Pasta day too soooo this leg day was intentionally intense. Earned these calories today 😅 and the poutine I ate yesterday for my son that didn't want it anymore 😁😁😁

Hello Awesome Community ❤️
Great day today! Took a second to gather myself and get my life pillars up for Quarter 3 of 2023. Ready to hit it - Refocused and rebuilt.
Set up a new routine in the health pillar of my life. Today was Day 1. First week is introduction to the exercises and unlike my previous routine switches I'm not resetting the weight I've progressed to. Lesson learned 😁
Calorie wise, I'm sticking to my 3000kCal for now. Still getting the strength I need from calories for workouts and fat reduction is noticeable. Going into the second week of the routine, I may reduce to 2800kCal. This was the sweet area for me previously. However my body has changed since then. I weight about 20lbs more than I did eating at 2800kCal before. And about 90% of my wardrobe is now Medium where I was a Small before. I may be looking to Large soon as well as the arms are getting tight. I'm never really sure if it's cause it shrunk from the dryer or if it's cause I'm gaining muscle mass 😅 I fear the possible disappointment so I choose not to find out hahaha.
I'd like to note for myself as I don't have entries like this from the year I was 174lbs:
I wore small shirts which fit but my waist grew from 29 to 37 inches before I realized I wasn't gaining muscle and I was gaining fat in my first year of my fitness journey.
This year at 161lbs, I am wearing medium sized shirts - questionable as I may go into large soon and my waist size is holding at 30.

A less motivated day indeed...
Can't all be good days.
Discipline just barely got me through today. I skipped out on a few exercises today and I'm pretty disappointed in that.
Feeling mehh
Gotta get my life pillars up today. I think I consumed bad information yesterday or could be good head knocking realization information - it's nesting mentally somewhere in the back of my mind.

Yesterday's Rest Day didn't happen. Whatever I was feeling passed in the day and I was ready to go in the late afternoon. Got a great workout in, just as I did today.
It's a recovery workout after 2 rest days and being sick, SO, I didn't push passed my achievements from the last session.
Tomorrow will be another store though. PUSH DAY.
Nutrition has been on point. Tea is something I'm looking to regularly intake. I'm on the fence with orange and apple juice. Like anything, it's good AND bad for you at the same time.
Other than that, I'm still happy with the direction my body is going in.

Soooo! I ended up with symptoms below the neck. I know it's advised not to perform strenuous activity when this is the case. So I've been out of the gym since Wednesday. Today would be Day 3 away from the gym and tomorrow will be Day 4. I'm hoping things get better by Sunday. Until then, I'm sticking close to my calories and have been eating slightly under.
I was looking at my consumption last few days and noticed I had over input on my protein shake. That changed my kCal intake and put me further under daily kCal for a few days.
I'm thinking since I'm away for this long already, I may do a full 7 day Deload week - however I've never done it with completely being absent from the gym, usually I'll reduce weights pushed by a percentage. Still have today and tomorrow to think about it 🤔
Til then, I'm sticking close to my nutrion!
