Another Monday in the books. My OMAD day has turned into a 18:6 IF day. I was ambushed by a bowl of very yummy chicken corn soup on the way home and y'all know I'm not going to turn down a home made soup (and a dram of vodka). :P. Still solidly within targets just higher then I would like on the carb side to my best guesstimates.

Drinking water with some asorbic acid (for the Vit. C) through this evening to stay on top of the hydration thing. I am learning (slowly) how important that is, at least for me, in this weight loss thing. Especially during the times I'm indulging myself a bit. I'm not so much tracking my water intake but can correlate my attention to it to both the times I've held fast and the times I've dropped.

Still have some work to do, so going to take my jug of water out to the porch, light up a cigar and relax a bit before getting back to it. Enjoy y'all's evening but do continue to stay focused on what you are trying to accomplish. I see so many good wins out there and want y'all to keep it up!

Happy Monday to y'all!

295.8 ... The troll scale reported an unexpected drop. Unexpected because of the amount of off script consumption over the past few days. Because of the sometimes sketchy readings I get off the scale I weight 3-5 times in succession and this time saw numbers between the recorded weight and 294.2. I took the higher number simply because I couldn't bring myself to believe the lowest shown. :P In any case I'm happy with the progress and happier still with the habits settling in that allows a bit of indulging while still bringing progress.

This brings a lot of confidence moving into the next few weeks. With summer riding weather coming on and having both son and daughter home there will be plenty of times where indulging will be the word of the day. :)

I feel it all comes back to, IMLTHO, staying mindful about what you are doing. The does not mean obsessing about the details to the point of stressing one's self out over what can and can't be eaten. It simply means keeping the concepts and framework of a plan in mind and doing the best one can to make choices as to what and how much that fit within that framework. If one misses the mark for a day or two... so what? Simply strive to do a little better the next day.

Now to finish up about a liter of water and get the work day started. Keep doing the things that are good for you and making the choices that bring you closer to your goals. Keep in mind that no matter the challenges you encounter.. YOU CAN DO IT! Keep striving, keep moving yourselves forward even if its an inch at a time. Have a good day y'all!

Goooooooood Morning FS peeps and happy mums day to all y'all mothers out there!!!

Once again an expected minor bump up on the Troll Scale after a bit of off script indulging yesterday (about .5 lb). Back to the OMAD schedule of things today. Will be having a meal out again today and planning on a avocado cobb salad with blue cheese dressing. Wanting something on the lighter side of things today. Did wake up 'hungry' this morning, which I think is more of a cry for water from the bod so starting the day by working on knocking back about 2 liters of water. After lunching planning on more seat time on the scoot as well as scouting locations for photos.

No deep and meaningful thoughts today. :D so will bid y'all a fond adieu. Get out there and enjoy the day. Do the things that bring you joy. Feed your soul by spending time with fam and friends. Stay focused on your plans but don't let fretting over the details keep you from enjoying life!

Long but damn good day all around. Lots of seat time on the bike followed by the PHD grad party. No party sub sandwiches and pizza where the fair, so at the guts out of 3 portions of the ginormous sub and the toppings of 5 squares of pizza (which I think comes to about the toppings of 3 normal cuts on a large). Add to that a very nice dark ale from a local brewery and a generous glass of Laphroaig Triple Wood (an exquisite single malt). At best estimate between 1300-1500 cals consumed. High end of things for me on the carb side, around 30g... at least half of the from the ale. :D Can't really call this an OMAD day as the 'meal' was basically shooting the breeze and telling stories on each other for around 5 hours while grazing on the above. Very comfortable with the choices today, I'm sure I'll be feeling the extra carbs tomorrow but what ever discomfort is a price I'll happily pay for the enjoyment of the day. Its more than ok to indulge one's self on occasion.

Saw some very good friends I had lost track of during my time of mental crash and physical ballooning. Twas good for the soul to see them.

So yes.. a damn good day to say the very least. Guzzling water as I type, as usual I didn't get nearly enough in me through the day. I hope y'all out there found equal amounts of joy in your day today and are going to find more tomorrow. And if you can't find it, create it for someone else it and will come and find you. A marginal down tick this morning. Yesterday was outstanding. Played pool and bowled with the daughter while my son was doing his thing with the rest of his class. We also saw Avengers Infinity War finally (it was AWESOME!). Made good choices for lunch but I was decidedly odd not to have a tub of popcorn while watching the movie. I did 'mess up' and broke the OMAD IF thing by having a late evening beer with a neighbor when I was helping him with a computer problem. No big deal as I almost always have plenty of room in the cal/carb budget for such a thing but I will say I do feel the difference (at least I perceive it so) this morning by doing that. I don't have the touch of hunger I have become accustom too and welcome now and have a craving for the first time since the start of all things... for nachos of all things!

Oh well, on ward into the new day with a BBQ ahead of me. It's not until 3pm so going to strive to keep my consumption to water and tea until then. Gonna jump on the scoot in a little while and get my head in the wind for a few hours (haven't ridden since Tuesday) before the burger and brat feeding frenzy later :D

I hope your Saturday morning is equally gorgeous as it is here. What ever the case may be, enjoy the day and those around you to the fullest! And keep making those good decisions that bring you closer, even if its only a inch, to your goals. Ciao y'all!
