One year ago I wasn't happy with who was looking back at me in the mirror. I decided to give myself the birthday gift of better health and a stronger body. This past year has been an incredible journey, not without a few bumps along the way.
Being 56 (@ the time), I hadn't done weight training for 2 years and had put on 35 pounds... I had a lot of work ahead of me to build the muscle to achieve my goal. With this I created a very unhealthy relationship with my scale. Pants that I haven't been able to get passed my hips in years were fitting comfortable (win💜). I didn't have to wear spanks anymore to control my back fat (win💜). I could see muscle tone/definition in my legs and arms (win💜). But the disappointment and of feeling of failure everytime I stepped on the scale almost sent me into a downward spiral more than once. I choose not to step on the scale often now and judge my progress on how I feel and look instead.
I have learned so much about nutrition and what exercises work for my body. By countless hours of research. Thank you Google and YouTube 😏🥦🥑🍇💪🥰. Needless to say, I didn't make my weight loss goal and still have a few tweaks I want to do to my physic. But I now have the tools and the right mind set  to get there. And I feel fit, healthy and strong!💜
My gift to myself this year will be the same as last year with an additional gift......
