23 April 2022
Distance: 6.7 km (10,197 steps)
Notes: We managed two dog walks, late morning and early evening, both to local fields and surrounding neighborhood. We are keeping low key as Pippa contacted Kennel Cough last Wednesday and is quarantined on antibiotics and cough syrup for 7-10 days. I am SO glad the symptoms are a bit milder this time, as she is breathing better and sleeping better.
Meanwhile, I am chipping away at 110 report cards due Monday morning at 9am. Praying it will not turn into an all-nighter Sunday evening.
Periodically, during the day I lose focus and motivation/reasons for not eating if my stomach has not growled. I guess there is too much going on right now. Nevertheless, I am trying to be cautious and to eat small, low fat portions. This too shall pass.

Distance: 7.1 km (or 10,089 steps)
Notes:
(rate 4mph). There, that's the math done. Also, I got on the scales yesterday evening, and it shows I have gone up 5 lbs since my last weigh in. It is good to be humble. I need to dig down deep and reset my heart and mind to wait for true physiological hunger.
I sure needed the evening walk with my Spaniel today. I was literally shaking this afternoon after reading an email from a VP (new this year and much younger). Some people are given too much power too soon. She would like to "meet" with me and a student of mine to alleviate alleged student concerns.
I am practising going to God for false accusations, and those from this student seem to be ongoing. Prayer and fasting have always seen me through the worst, but oddly, lately, I am struggling to go even one day stomach growl to stomach growl. My mind needs resetting fast, because that is the best way I know to walk through fire.
There can be nothing advantageous about a meeting with a draconian administrative officer and a student. These politics are beyond me.
Lifting all to God who is the best advocate and the best counsellor in all situations. Grateful for this opportunity God allows to trust in Him.

17 April 2022
Distance: 6.8km
Notes: Weekend warrior of sorts. Can I just say how deep-down-good it feels to be bone tired from fresh air and dog walking? Evidently I have much to learn from my Spaniel. :) And if I may be perfectly honest, when I woke up this morning I was feeling a tad sad and miserable, perhaps, in part, from a trying text that my 22 year old son sent last night. Grateful to God for rescuing me and praying He will restore him too.
So we ventured to P's fave school field for off leash sprints in the morning and her fave park in the afternoon for sniffing and exploring. Perhaps this evening we will stay on the sidewalks and keep the leash short. Happy Easter to all who struggled today to regain peace and joy. <3

Distance: 8.6km
Notes: Feeling more focused, encouraged, and humble. God helped me fast noon yesterday to noon today. This momentum is not from me, this is from Him. He is so faithful. <3

Distance: 7.1km
Notes:
12 celsius temps today and mostly cloudy. We played fetch for about 40mins and walked the long way home. Unfortunately had to retrace our steps 6-8 blocks to retrieve my dropped toque. Too warm for toques now - next time, baseball cap.
Enroute P and I picked up a Starbs coffee which I have not done since early March. Happy to note that I did not care for the latte as much as I used to; indeed it felt too heavy for the activity today. Pleasantly surprised. Happy to cut back on expenses. :-;
