I lost...a bit! 0.2 pounds. Not a lot and not nearly where I was - 5 days of the last 7 I weighed less than this weigh in however my average weight for the week was 191 so I am at the average.
There was eating out and there were some treats along the way. I indulged in some sunflower butter which is lovely and I have had much of it. I had no Hallowe'eners so I did not buy any candy so I can't blame that! I live way out in the country and so haven't seen trick or treaters for many many years.
Last week was busy with subbing, my father-in-law's, and getting ready for a friend to visit this weekend. Went to a lovely tea party yesterday in celebration of a friend's 80th birthday.

Losing 0.1 kg a Week

I lost this week. I lost 0.8 pounds. This was good in the sense that it was a loss.
It was disappointing in that I was down 3 pounds earlier in the week. I was disappointing as this month I had a net gain of 3 pounds.
It is also disappointing in that I have to lose 3 pounds in the next 4 weeks to manage to not gain in 13 weeks. I had set myself the goal of losing 8 pounds in 13 weeks. I have 4 weeks left and I am up 2.8 pounds.
The first three days of last week I was eating in the zone and losing consistently. In the last 4 days I ate in the zone one day, one day was quite high and the other two high. I averaged 70 calories daily over my zone for the week which could easily have translated into a gain.
What I did right: I went swimming for a half hour two days. I went for an half hour walk one day (it was icy so cut it short!) and an hour walk on another day. I packed a lunch when I subbed. I waited to eat supper until I got home on one late town day.
What went wrong: I had pre-ordered my lunch at a Board-Staff lunch but when I got there they didn't have my choice available. I had to choose something from a limited choice and I chose a quesadilla. When I got home the nutritional guide said it was 900 calories!!! The other two days was essentially having toast and butter in the evening. Some was planned and some was not.
As for the week it was another busy one. I had the Board-Staff appreciation meal, met with various bankers to set up finances, assisted with an audit, subbed at the school, attended a zoom course, swam, Qigong, and assisted my daughter with her deep cleaning. Not very much down time. I am anticipating a quiet day tomorrow!

Losing 0.4 kg a Week

I have gained 2 pounds this week. I ate over my window on average 50 calories. That is significant and results in a 2 pound gain.
Ideally, I need to eat at home more. Saying that, I am aware that I will be eating in town at least 4 meals next week. I will need to be highly mindful of my choices.
Another busy week! Attended an AGM and am Treasurer for another year, ordered the plaque for my in-law's memorial bench, did a Board tour of our Women's Shelter, met via zoom with two provincial government ministers regarding Women Shelter funding, had a preliminary background interview with CBC radio regarding the Women's Shelter and proctored exams for the Apprentice Board. Fairly busy, eh?

My weight went up by two pounds. There is absolutely no mystery. This week I ate in my 'zone' once the other 6 days I was either 'over' or 'really over'. On average I was 90 calories per day over my highest part of my zone.
This week is a busy one and I will have to be cognizant about my food choices as this is a trend that must be stopped! I have 4 days next week when I will be in town which is a kryptonite situation. Truly will need to make a decent plan around that.
I was excited yesterday to finally have my foot calluses dealt with. I had a corn in the middle of the ball of my left foot which meant that it felt like I had a rock in my shoe so every step I took was painful. It is absolutely lovely to have it gone. I have a plan in place so I don't have this problem again. I also had an acupuncture treatment for my wonky right leg and lower back ache. This morning I am pain free! My acupuncturist trained in China for 15 years and is extremely talented. She spent the first 5 years learning Mandarin so she could learn how!
Our Thanksgiving meal went off without a hitch! The turkey was cooked to perfection in my woodstove. My 10 guests really enjoyed the meal which is the whole point, eh? I plan to make stew this weekend. I have already made the bone broth. Now it is time to add the veggies, barley and meat.

I am down 0.2 pounds this week. Frankly it has been a range of 1.2 pounds. Everything from dead even to 1.2 pounds down. I definitely ate over my intended amount yesterday. No particular reason, just did.
My biggest area of eating this week has been around homemade bread. I made some bread for the turkey stuffing (this weekend is Canadian Thanksgiving) and definitely enjoyed the fresh bread. Then I realized that I was going to be low on bread and made another batch. I have committed to giving away 3 loaves tomorrow (my granddaughter, my sister and my daughter). That will definitely help a bit.
Today I am making the pies and roasting the vegetables. Tomorrow I will be firing up the wood cookstove and getting the turkey in by 11 am. Then making the fancy white buns my grandchildren prize for eating with gravy and the potatoes. We are having 4 extra guests - two friends of my daughter's and two from my sister's fellow's family. That will make supper for 11!
This week has been about my father in law's house and prepping for Thanksgiving.
