My closest friend of many years, Bruce - died today shortly after 3 p.m. - I was there with him as was his oldest sister Cindy. I was holding his hand. I am so glad I was there with him in his last moments. He was only 49 years old, he would have been 50 on January 20th. It does not make it any easier losing him - but I am the kind of person who wants to be there when a person that is a loved one dies, and I was there with Bruce holding his hand - and for me that was the best thing I could have asked for from God in this horrible situation.

My friend overdosed over the weekend. Please say prayers for him. His name is Bruce. We don't know if he is going to pull through. They thought he was brain dead yesterday. But he may not be. He is my best friend. Dieting going well otherwise. I am too stressed to eat. I am not hungry, sort of good in a way. I am very sad. He is the brother I never had, my best friend the past five or so years. A good friend many years.

Doing OK. Busy with my writing. Busy reading too. I will self-publish my first book in March. The weather is cold today, but sunny - we got about an inch of snow last evening. Dieting going well, small breakfast - good-sized lunch, very light dinner is working.

Doing OK. Losing weight still. Eating a light breakfast. Decent lunch. Snack for dinner and it is working well.

Doing well. I am eating a very light breakfast, a decent lunch and only a snack-sized meal for dinner - and I think this will be a key to losing weight in the coming weeks ahead. It is pouring rain here so going for a walk is out of the question today, a cold rain. I will do my writing today - and some laundry too probably. I am listening to music too today, right now Sirius XM from home - the Top 40 Billboard countdown from this week in 1972, so long ago, when I was a boy. Book eight, which I am writing now is going very well.
