Amazing workout Sunday, feeling strong and fit. But still feeling like crap otherwise as I fight this cold/throat thing. Joints are now aching. Advil and bed. Weight drops gradually but surely!

Still miserable and sick with strep throat. It got better for a day or two, but now it's back with a vengeance. Still taking antibiotics for another 6 days.
Been mixing it up lately with medium carb and low carb days and that seems to keep my body guessing, resulting in a small but significant drop. I finally feel like I'm in the 180s to stay and won't see the 190s again, ever (knock on wood). Tons of business holiday dinners coming up, but I'm not worries because no matter how amazing anything looks, I have my plan, I bring my own salad dressing and I avoid the breads and desserts like the plague because I know how much my body hates them, and 30 seconds of enjoyment isn't worth a week of compensation.
I'm trying to focus more on the event itself and the people there, since that's what's really important, and less on the food. By eating something before future events, I can ensure that I don't get too hungry or tempted to stray. Last night we had a dinner that was supposed to start a 6PM but we didn't actually eat until 730PM. Of course there was bread on the table for everyone else! UGH!

Feeling under the weather, but having a good diet week. Happy now for not overindulging last week. There wasn't one meal where I was even tempted to overeat.
I see so many of my good buddies on here veer off the beaten path for a day or two, and then suffer the consequences for days or possibly weeks to come. It's so helpful to watch what others do and learn how our bodies react to sodium, carbs, water, everything. I thank everyone who has shared their journey because the progress of others has helped me so much.
Hoping that my low activity levels this week due to being sick don't cost me too dearly when I return to the gym in terms of feeling weak when lifting weights. Trying to keep up cardio as much as I'm able while feeling poorly. Took a nice, sweaty Jacuzzi this morning to hopefully get rid of toxins.

Had a fun and tempered Thanksgiving and the day after. Getting to a new low weight soon, I think, when coupling the gym with my determination to end the month lower than I started.
The past two weeks, I experimented with raising my carb levels from under 20g/day to 30-40g/day, and I was only able to maintain, no longer losing. So now I guess I know where my carb tolerance is, and it's still pretty darned low. However, at 30-40g/day, I was able to have low carb tortillas, sugar free Eskimo Pies, and plenty of my favorite veggies with Ranch Dressing. When the time comes, 38 or so pounds from now, I believe I'll be able to live well on 30-40g/day and still maintain just fine.
Started Thursday back on under 20g/day (net) and saw a big drop right away. Going to keep this up throughout the holidays.
Hubby is taking me out to fancy dinner tonight for an early anniversary dinner, and I've seen the menu. I plan on having the sea bass and Caesar salad. Keeping it low carb tonight will be easy!
