another day and night yesterday of constant migraine medications and just eating whatever "crap" was around. I even had pizza last night. I am a bit worried about the scale tomorrow because my migraines prevent me from being normal and preparing and cooking foods. ITs literally trying to get carbs in me because after all the meds I am so nauseas. The good news is I finally slept last night and so far so good on the migraines. I called to get into the new neurologist I was referred to but they said they can't get me in until July 28! I told them that would not work for me so I requested a new referral. Praying I can at least get 2 days in a row migraine free.. just for a break. About to do breakfast (if anyone likes tapioca pudding..this is pretty good) 1 part chia seeds, two parts vanilla almond milk with dash of cinnamon and hand full of raisins... stir with a spoon literally for about 6 minutes (or until thick like a pudding) It tastes great and is packed with protein, calcium, iron, magnesium, and fiber. Hope everyone has a great day!

ok.. changed my lunch. has anyone had a gorilla wrap? I am reading one of Kimberly Snyder's beauty & detox books and its one of her recipes. So in a food processer (I use my nutribullet) walnuts, cumin, corriander, chili powder and a little low sodium soy tamari. I did blend it a little too much..lol almost bean burrito texture haha - then instead of the collard lettuce leaf - i put it in bib lettuce (all I had) and topped it with amazing fresh salsa! I have to admit.. it was really really good and I am stuffed! I put lots of salsa in it and portioned the walnut mixture well. I am having such a blast trying all these knew recipes.. adding tons of vegetarian and vegan and raw to my diet. I think for me personally this is a journey of retraining my brain on what to eat.. so it all becomes as easy to cook or snack as it has been for too many years, but this way it will be on healthy foods and in proper porportion. 1st time in my life I am feeling it as just my way of life and not a diet that will kill me!! hahaha

Well, this morning started out a bit off. I woke up STARVING.. not sure why since usually in this mornings I have to wait a little bit before I can eat. I had two belvita bisquits and some ham and cheese with 1/2 piece of bread. I felt like a bear rading a campsite! The only thing I can think is a took something for anxiety last night to help me sleep (and I full dose which I never take!) just so my brain could relax and I could get a full night's sleep. Maybe the medicine had something to do with it?

Thankfully that was 1st this this morning (6am to be exact!) lol so I can go normal the rest of the day. Having a delicious berry, almond milk smoothie right now and planning my meals for the rest of the day to stay on track. Salad and baked postato for lunch today and baked rosemary chicken and roasted lemon aparagus. I keep a bag of assorted fruits under my desk for a snack and I keep whole wheat pita and spicy yellow lentil hummus (sunflower seed & apricot) here at work too.

Tonight I will go swimming as long as its not raining.

Hoping everyone has a wonderful Friday and always keep your head up and looking forward!!

Starting the day with a glowing green smoothie (romaine, celery, baby spinach, banana, apple, pear and lemon) the texture is a little rough (Almost like an applesauce) but I will maybe add more water next time and blend a bit more. The taste actually was pretty good and I have my guys at work drinking it with me! lol. love the nutribullet - made fresh hummus a couple of weeks ago and my own almond butter. Hoping to get home tonight and go for a walk or a swim. My upstairs neighbors kept me up all night tho so we will see what happens by the time I get home.

On father's day I did experiment and make raw chocoate balls rolled in organic coconut. It's just cacoa powder, organic honey, organic coconut oil mixed together and formed into balls. Mine were very small and then rolled in the organic shredded coconut! Then I put them in a ziplock and threw them in the freezer. They are maybe nickel size balls and VERY rich.. so if I am having a chocolate breakdown I can handle just one of them. It kicks the craving, its a tiny portion and much healthier than the stuff I would usually go for.
