Well, Here I am at 54 years old ~ Over weight!! I have mostly been within a heathy weigh my whole life. About 5 years ago, I started taking care of my elderly parents while also working full time. I was always running and started eating fast, quick, easy and convenient foods ! Gained 75lbs in them 5 years with ZERO exercise at that. Sadly, they both passed away in 2017 6 months apart from one another. I spend the rest of 2017 and up till Nov in 2018 in an emotional state of mind and still reckless eating habits. November, I finally decided to do something about my weigh for heath reasons. I researched all sorts of diets and went with the Keto one. Cutting out (bad)carbs seemed to be the most reasonable one. Whoa, the first 30 days without bread was ROUGH-LOL ! But now I don't miss it or pasta at all. I've found healthier choices with the Keto diet and started exercising as well. I started this weighing 248lbs and am now 232 with a goal of 150lbs- and feel so much better ♥ I will be sticking with Keto for life! Excited to have found this group as well, I enjoy learning from others on a like wise life style of healthy eating.
