I am a stay at homeschooling mom of 4 boys aged 23-5, married 24 years. I love ketogenic and have personalized it for myself. I T-Tapp 3-4 times a week using the basic workout (15 minutes). I alternate between a 24 hour fast once a week with 12 hour fast /feast on my eating days and 18 hour fast/8 hour feast the other week.

I have a few chronic illnesses which make weight loss extremely difficult - graves and hashimoto symptoms even though my thyroid was surgically removed in 2013. After losing my thyroid I gained 60 pounds in 8 months by listening to the endocrine medical field. I did research on natural remedies and found Stop the thyroid madness. Saved my life. I discovered I also developed Chronic fatigue syndrome and Adrenal Fatigue. So I went gluten free, exercised gently and started following a STTM protocol for healing my body. I lost 30 pounds and was doing great. Something flared my hashimotos antibodies in 2016 and I started gaining weight again. I discovered that my hashimotos and graves antibodies are going to be constantly going back and forth. I will have good weeks and bad. Summer of 2017, I decided to cut my carbs by doing keto. I did Atkins back in 2002-2005 and did great and wanted to try something similar. I’m hoping by reducing carbs, inflammation in my body will reduce and cause fewer flare ups in my antibodies which will help stabilize my weight and health.
So this is long term for me. Will I cheat? Yes, because splurging is fun from time to time but I want to come back to my why.
I want to feel healthy and be around for 20 or more years, God willing.
My short term Goals for measuring “success”:

My 6 year old able to wrap his arms around my waist: almost there ... maybe one more inch. 👍
