BuffyBear's Journal, 24 May 12

3 Day Weekend ahead! Got so much to do inside the house, but outside is where I really want to be!

As for diet, I've gone over my calorie limit 2 days in a row now - I need to keep reminding myself that I still have 30 more pounds to lose. How come I keep forgetting that?

Am thinking I need smaller goals:
Lose 1 pound and get my yellow bar back.
Lose 3 pounds and I'm in the 50's.
Lose 5 pounds and I'll be half way to my goal.

Baby steps!

Bren - I am not planning anything, but will have lots of food on hand. Sometimes people just show up! Oh - wish I owned a pressure washer. I scrubbed the front porch before Easter and now it looks like crap again. Where or where is that cleaning fairy?

Tracy - OK - it is a race and we are on. You are one length ahead of me but the track is long and I have plenty of time to catch you!

Buffy - you are on....grab my hand....we'll do this together :)

Buffy, my weight is not moving either and I still have 50 pounds to lose as well. I am hoping that the scale starts moving again soon. Gets to be a bit disheartening when we are trying so hard to be healthy. Love your small goals...perhaps I will try that myself! Have a healthy and happy holiday weekend!! HUGS!

Stef - Tell me about it. We make progress but neglect to realize we need to take it to the next level!

I have faith that you'll get there. Personally, I'm refusing to step on the scale until I feel a difference in my clothes. Hopefull they will be getting baggy.

I agree with you Buffy....these lower calorie targets are HARD! I'm beginning to wonder how many tons of green beans I should stock up on for this week! Those smaller, targeted goals look perfect!

Davidsmom - Funny how we all have love/hate relationships with these scales. Some times I think it is easier to deal with men.

Sandy - Yup - when all else fails we can always open a can of green beans! BTW - I have tiny little green beans on my plants in my garden. Can't wait!!!

I love green beans, & you guys just made me figure out...I forgot to plant those! So now what, where? Answer...Farmers Market! Yellow is Buffy's new goal, I know you can do it, you are sooooo close. But, I totally agree, smaller goals are less scary & way more manageable...one pound at a time!

GG - There is still plenty of time to plant your green beans. Once they get going you only need a few plants to feed 2 people. But, in the meantime - the farmers market sounds like the answer! BTW - I think your mini goal must be more "ME" time!
