Today got a little out of hand ... so much so that I am not even recording everything I am eating ... it inadvertently became my overfeeding/spike/free day ... back on track tomorrow. Serves to regulate leptin ... reset my metabolism ... fill up the glycogen ... or so i tell myself! :) Still, while I show a deficit, it is not nearly as great as it without the rest of the "food" i have shoveled in today. Yikes. When I open the flood gates, it all runs ... chips, M&M's, ice cream. Cravings ...

I had a day that got out of hand recently - and I didn't record anything. We'll consider it a black hole. As in, my mouth was the black hole and it ingested everything that came into its gravitational pull. I was feeling pretty bad about this - but since I started counting again, I think I've only had a couple (maybe as many as 4) of these - and they come pretty few and far between. Mistakes happen, and at least it happened towards the beginning of my week instead of closer to my weigh-in :) still fighting the good fight! Usually for me the day after I'm considerably lower, and eating much better to make up for my run in with food. At least you're taking a positive stance on it. Good luck tomorrow!

thanks! you know, in general, i have one or two carb load days ... if i don't i can't work out hard enough ... i am looking at carb cycling too ... as i am just fighting the last 5 pounds of belly fat ... which are tough to get to ... but yeah, black hole ... i like that. a detour. but seriously, we cannot stay in a deficit all the time ... we really do need to go high some days, at least one day, a week. it isn't a cop out ... there are metabolic reasons for it ... course, falling off the wagon like i did today .... woah ... not recommended. i am in a sugar coma ... cheers! and good luck to you too!

Ugh. I think my overload day has turned into an overload week. I've had one good day under my preferred intake. Yesterday was going great until I went out to dinner with some coworkers and they poured my glass of wine as I sat down "you do drink red wine don't you..." um. yes, yes I do. And then today I'm going out twice. The first - to Macaroni Grill, I've actually already found a dish I can eat that's really very reasonable, so that'll be good. But then after work to a bbq. Sigh. This is why they call it the battle of the bulge... :D

uh oh ... Macaroni Grill has nothing but fatty high calorie goodness ... it is a tough one! Hang in there, lady ... when it rains it pours. I suppose you could just chalk it up to one day ... not your whole life ... and get back and kick some ass tomorrow. Bear down. But try to drink tons of water ... that will help keep you feeling full and may keep you from eating too much over your limit. You can't go off the rails completely, though ... so reign it in as soon as you can. I am know you can do it.

Actually - they have this meal, Grilled Chicken Spiedini (Dinner), that's basically chicken and veggies done with olive oil and seasonings. So as long as I don't overdo on beverages, bread, etc - it's fine. The meal's under 500 cal. It's my saviour at that restaurant and it tastes good :P
