CHALLENGING MYSELF..goood friday morning..when i first started riding a bike for the exercise..i didnt have the extra money for an expensive bike..i happened acrost one thru a friend that had one sitting in his garage..that he gave me just so i would have a bike to use for exercise..for free it did the job..but for gears..they wasnt all there..was suppose to have upper gears..all it had was lower gears..but i rode that bike for 6 months an along the way met a man thats now a good friend..that kept telling me..to save my money an keep saving until i could afford a good bike..not a cheap walmart bike..i at the time was naive about biking..still am some..but learning every day..well saved my money an in 2013 bout a trek cruiser..a 38 pound bike..but it would get up an cruise..but the more i rode..the more my riding improved..so did my ave speed an my mileage improved as well..i traded that trek off in 2015 an bout my cannondale road bike..wanted to go faster..wanted a lighter bike..cannondale weighs in at 18 pounds..

with the cannondale i started riding better..building myslf up..even though most mornings were just rides..no challenges really...last christmas i put an order in for a kenetic road machine..an indoor trainer i could use my road bike on an train thru the winter..for me hey..im 68..its just a great way to get a day of exercise an i enjoy the saddle time to think about my achievements ...i rode on my trainer thru the winter until i got to a point that i had to take it off the trainer an start riding outside..being outside in the morning air..just doesnt compare to inside in front of a fan riding...

this morning i reflected back over this last few months of riding..this year i can see improvement..alot of improvement..i was looking back thru my strava account yesterday...last year i was doing 10-15 miles most days..sometimes there would be a 20 miler..but not on a continual basis..i was just riding..

this morning was a mile stone for me...I hit 1713 MILES FOR THE YEAR..HALF WAY TO MY YEARLY GOAL IN MILES..2 WEEKS AHEAD OF SCHEDULE FOR WHAT I HAD FIGURED..

BIKE STATS
27.1 MILES
11.1 AVE SPEED
15.9 TOP SPEED
220 FT. ELEVATION
670 CALORIES RELEASED
2:27 TIME OF RIDE
100 MILES IN 4 DAYS..NEW RECORD FOR ME..ACHIEVING MANY MILES IN ONLY 4 DAYS..

for me i have to challenge myself to keep improving..riding the bike goes along with eating healthier..i can do one an not the other...but riding in the weeee hours of the early morning is relaxing to me an my time to think about whatever is on my mind..my way of zoning out when i ride..so that the ride goes faster..yes i listen to music as i ride..but once i get in my riding zone...the ride just seems to flow like the wind ...alot of times just doesnt seem like i ride as long as i do...

WELL COFFEE/PROTEIN is gone...need to get up an fix my salad for the lunch..gonna have cauliflower pizza for dinner tonight..havent been eating breakfast..have been fasting from 4pm..heading out door for my ride at 430am on empty tummy an really burning off the flab..even the scales are showing the burn...

HAVE A GREATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT FRIDAY....
