I feel like 5:2 Cowboy. I am losing weight eating french fries and peanut butter shakes. I am doing IF, though. I typically eat one meal a day and BAM! I eat whatever pleases me for that meal.
I just don't want to bring people down who are working so hard to measure their eating. I don't want to do it. I don't want to measure it, log it, share it.
I don't want people to think that if I eat half a jumbo pizza and still lose weight, that they can or should do the same.
I am completely convinced that my metabolism has been repaired somewhat by fasting. I am losing slowly at best and holding steady at worst. I was 220 for a long time when I was 220, and I kind of think this is a set point. I think the next one down is 185.
I had a really bad binge one day. I ate three glazed doughnuts, a turtle muffin, two tuna sandwiches, Cheez-its, and two peanut butter sandwiches. After all that. I drank a can of root beer and finally felt full. The scale didn't care. What? Why didn't the scale care?
Today, I was offered baked goods and said, "No thanks." I am not obsessed. I know if I want them, I can eat them. Just, I don't want them. I have been eating so much wheat and GMO lately, I tanked my immune system and got some sort of winter chest cold.
Tonight is the Christmas Party for my new job. I do really want to go and eat some Korean food. It always smells so good.

So happy to see you here, I've really missed you! I'm logging for my own benefit, but still eating a lot of soup which I know brings more carbs but like you I do IF at least 6 days a week. I'm holding my own. I had two small pieced of chocolate candy and 2 Tasty Kakes the other day and guess what--I didn't enjoy them at all and the sugar left a funny/bad after taste so probably won't be too tempted any time soon again. The peanut butter shake sounds amazing! Did you make it or buy it someplace? I think I could like on peanut butter. Sounds like you're in a good place for you right now, and that's all good. Enjoy your party!

Hey, kiddo - sometimes life intervenes and, lets face it, weighing, measuring, logging and fixating on food just plain sucks. Being fat is no fun either, but sometimes a girl just needs a break already. Be well. Be happy in your skin.

Good journal, Lady. I'm convinced, at least partly, that the appetite killing nature of keto has something to do with it. As I approach my goal, I'm relaxing the strictness of the plan, and it seems to pay the most benefits when I totally go off, so long as it's the only meal of the day. Glad you're feeling positive and happy. Like you, I seemed to hit a new set-point around 170, and bounced up and down around that for 2-3 weeks. Went out for Mexican food, and WHOOSH! Curiouser and curiouser!
