So I am starting all over. Again. And again. But this time, I at least have a goal. I am going to visit my parents this Christmas and I would like to look almost like I did when I visited them over the summer. I know I have gained about ten pounds since then.

I know it is highly unlikely for me to lose 10 pounds in 15 days. I don't think that is all that safe anyway. But I am trying to make strides towards my goal weight. And having something to work forward to is motivating.

I can't believe I let myself get this way. Not that I look all that bad, but I can tell by the way my clothes fit that I really packed on the pounds in the past 3 months. I guess that's what happens when you have dessert for dinner. And dessert.

So I am trying to get back to my old ways, the right way of eating. I think the fact that I am single plays into my poor eating habits. There is no one there to make sure that I am eating three meals a day, instead of eating dessert all day I know it sounds like an excuse, but I need someone to hold me accountable. I need someone to monitor my eating.

I tried going to a food addicts anonymous meeting a couple of months ago. It took a lot of courage for me to go, and it was comforting to see others there who struggled like I did. But then at the end of the meeting someone came up to me and said "You don't look like a food addict." And that completely turned me off.

So now I am doing the shakeology cleanse, trying to get this desire for sweets out of my system. I know it's something I can't do forever (especially since it's so expensive!) but I figure if I do it for a couple of days it can't hurt.

So here I go again fatsecret. But this time I actually have motivation and faith in myself :)
