Addie Aline's Journal, 24 Feb 16

Had eggs this morning and so far my acid isn't bad and I don't feel over full. So I'll see how the day goes.

I have lots of errands to run today and the wind is going to be bad which means my allergies and asthma will be bad today. I would do it a different day but one I have to do today that office is only open on Wednesday so if I have to go into town for it I might as well do the others. I'll try wearing a mask to see if it helps it'll look dumb but I'm old and if it helps I don't care.

I sliced the pork shoulder I cooked Sunday into serving sizes and froze them yesterday. I now have 4 different protein sources in my freezer so I can choose and not get bored. I don't do fish that way I like for it to be freshly cooked. I've found that if I continue to use the defrost method on my microwave when heating them they don't dry out. Thought I'd pass that along.

Everyone have a successful day, I know yo'll can do it. One day at a time.

I will loose this extra weight one day at a time because I want to and I need to. ONE DAY AT A TIME!!!

Does anyone have a natural headache remedy? I'm buying celery for my stomach today.

Oh, when I have a headache I am sometimes dehydrated so I drink lots of fresh water.

Roast sounds great to me. I saw this in the Readers Digest for natural headache rememdy: Some natural healers believe footbaths are powerful home remedies for headaches. The hot water draws blood to your feet, easing the pressure on the blood vessels in your head. By adding a few drops of peppermint and/or lavender essential oils, the aroma provides soothing relief.

Yes, drink a glass or two of water and then wait a bit before reaching for any headache meds. Dehydration causes headaches. Acid issues? I sympathize. Eggs are not a problem specifically, the problem is more likely to be the am't of food and gas in the stomach, which presses on the valve. Celery digests quicker if you cook it or chop it small or blender it.

celery does work. I had some salsa and pork rinds last night and The heart burn or what ever you want to call it come on quickly. I got a stalk of celery and dipped it in peanut butter. Pain was gone.

As far as the gastro problems I probably should have mentioned I have a hiatal hernia so it doesn't take much to get acid reflux. I'm doing well so far today but I did buy the celery just in case. I will try drinking extra water to see if it helps with the headaches. Yesterday I turned the heat up a bit so the air I was breathing was warmer and that seemed to help. @Mom that's interesting about the foot bath, if I drink a beer when I have a headache it will relieve it. My DH says that has something to do with the blood vessels. But I don't want to do that because it's not what I need on my eating plan.
