-Nadja-'s Journal, 16 Mar 24

Having COPD & heart disease are a double whammy for me.
I joined FatSecret with the full intent of losing weight.
I started documenting my food intake and was astounded by the content my daily food intake!

I still hope to lose weight but
I changed my focus to increasing protein and reducing
sodium intake, while tracking my daily exercise.

When I first joined, in January of this year, walking to the bathroom left me breathless.
I concentrated on increasing my lung capacity/health and today I am celebrating some small victories.
I climbed up & down my flight of stairs 5 consecutive times before my breathing became heavy!

I haven't lost weight 'per se' but I am getting some muscle definition back in my legs, despite the edema and my 'gramma belly' is down about half an inch! Small victories definitely give hope!
