RubyRedSox's Journal, 22 Aug 11

Now that my eyes are better I'm so happy to be back working on my granddaughter's blanket again and I'm making good progress. I should have it done before leaving to spend time with her next month.

The only really sad thing about my project is how incredibly expensive yarn has become! I've already spent over 24$ just on the yarn for this one baby blanket and it looks like I'll need another skein. At 12$ a skein I wish I could crochet a better pattern but not going to happen right now.

Anyway this is what I'm working on;

Beautiful and you're only 4 lbs from goal! Is your fibro getting better with eating primal? I'm still reading Mastering Leptin but am on MDA and Primal Blueprint is next.

The blanket is beautiful, Ruby! I had no idea that yarn is so expensive now! I haven't done any projects for quite a while. Where will you be going to visit your granddaughter? I'm really happy that your eyes are so much healthier now. It really helps to see what you're crocheting!

Actually I do think my overall health has greatly improved though the actually fibro symptoms of various "pain and spasms" are still here. My energy level is much better though and no mere swollen feet or ankles. I also haven't had a migraine in ages:)♥

Hey Pam.. thanks (smiles) Oh the yarn, is very expensive anymore. Of course this yarn more so since I don't like pastels and neither does my daughter so I found a variegated color I knew she would like. Regular skeins go for about 4$ at other stores. Since this is my grand baby and I loved this yarn, I paid extra to buy at our local shop which is more expensive than other places. I think I'll be buying online after this lol. Oh.. I'll be going out of the Seattle area. She lives in Federal Way.♥
