Asarver's Journal, 18 Jan 23

Well, the right foot is also plantar fasciitis according to the doctor. The good news so far is that it doesn't hurt while running so I can keep up with that. My PT has been treating it as if it was a posterior tibial injury. I see her again Friday and see if we change anything and then I have my sports massage Monday where I can tell her about it, too.

No wonder my left foot doesn't hurt much anymore, it gave it to the right 😜

Yeah 🙃 But I've been doing the same exercises on both feet/legs so the right foot might need a different approach. The pain is also different 🤔 But I have hope it will be addressed! 😊

FYI ~ I’ve been taking magnesium supplements & I believe it helps with joints pain 💊

I'll look into that, thanks Matt! I do have my post exercise drink that I think has magnesium in it, but I'll need to double check (and maybe be better about actually drinking it 😂)

magnesium helps with muscle soreness. and sleep too

I was told that the only cure is consistent use of properly fitted inserts. Wore them for aa few years and one day the plantar fasciitis was gone

HCB, I love those added benefits! I wonder what foods are rich in magnesium.

abbadabba, I wish it were that simple for me. I've been wearing custom orthotics since I got PF the first time in 2018. I run a lot and my body has been compensating for weakness in my ankles and toes causing the PF (and very tight calves which probably contributed). My left foot, thank God, is almost back to 100% with a variety of exercises. My right foot I will say seems to be getting better. So long as I'm moving (running, walking, doing dishes, etc) it feels fine. It's sore when I try to walk around after sitting for long periods 😬

Just 1 cup of edamame has 24% of the RDA of magnesium (plus 17g protein and 8g of fiber)💚

Oh, I LOVE edamame! I wouldn't mind adding that to a few more meals. Thank you, JB! 😁
