<Warning: long post :) > Yesterday did no turn out as I'd expected. I ended up puppy sitting until Wednesday so waited for her to be dropped off. Picked up the granddaughter about 1230 and was on my way back home when her dad (22 yo)asked if I'd be willing to give him a ride to go pay for his scooter toward downtown Orlando, they close at 2. He has been biking, bussing and borrowing for a long time and has his tax refund so he planned to get a scooter to get back and forth to work to have some reliable transportation. I ended up dropping the dog back off at my house (she went for the ride) and GD and I went to pick up son for what I figured would be a couple hour trip. Yeah. We got there about 145. Everything went well, paid for it, got the paperwork done, went out to show him where everything is on it and there was an issue with the carburetor. Replaced it (20 minutes). Tried it again, same issue. Tried another bike same brand/model. Same issue. In between all this, little one is having a blast. Playing with the helmet, seeing her dad riding the scooter, playing around with my phone. Really good. Owner called his son who usually does the shop during the week. Trouble-shoots but the son ends up coming in. Takes it outside to trouble shoot and work on. At 445 I go out to see are we close, cause I still have little one with us and she needs to eat and sleep. They figured another 10 minutes. After about 10-15, the owner said it still wasn't working the way the wanted it. How about a free upgrade for the inconvenience? Heck yah. The owner and his son were so nice the ENTIRE time though. So son got a $999 scooter for $799. As we're filling out final paperwork and putting the trunk on the bike, I hear thunder. And then it pours. Hard. REALLY? I had to laugh. It lightened up to a sprinkle before we left but the owner offered my son a heavy rain coat with a hood, just asked him to bring it back as it was his only one. Really nice. I followed son home (30 miles an hour) to make sure he'd make it ok between the long drive, rain and he can't go fast with it. It's a 49cc so he might be able to hit 35-40. Won't be an issue near home but not fun in a 50 mph zone with cars. I stayed behind him so he'd have a buffer. Dropped little one home and I got back home to the dog by 7.

SO all that to say that foodwise, I hadn't eaten before we left. By 5, I had 2 of the mini donuts that the owner bought to tide everyone over. WHen I got to my friend's house with the dog for the evening about 745, I had celery with the homemade salmon dip for dinner. Salmon, cream cheese, lemon and onion.

Today should be more typical (I hope). Puppy and I will head back to my place about 730 for the day. Have to work and do school. I'll have dinner and about 530 we'll head back to her place. I do have to go drop off $ to the baby's mom since I forgot it in my pocket yesterday (oops).

Hope your day is smooth! Enjoy your Monday. It's all the journey.
