It took me all week to get back on track, but I managed to lose the weight I gained since returning from our vacation. I'm hoping my hard work will help to remind me to stay on track this holiday weekend...recovery is soooo difficult, I need to remember the indulgence is rarely worth the consequences.

Yes Hip…i call it reprogramming the software. Our society is so programmed around food that FOOD is almost an addiction. We are bombarded with messages to EAT…to consume. What is also amazing is that the Media tells us it is normal and good to eat FOODS that are horrible for our bodies. COKE looks "healthy"….thin healthy people are eating pizza and drinking beer. Well that is not the case. Keep at it . Yesterday at our squash club I played 90 minutes of hard squash…..they brought in the Pizza for our corporate league and I just did not take it…..NOT BECAUSE I AM DIETING….cause i'm not dieting. It is SIMPLY i would have a slice of pizza now the same way I would take a cigarette….JUST SOMETHING I DO NOT DO! Good luck.

Hippagrammy, glad that you are back on track, you have come so far! Hope your vacation was terrific!! I know on my WOE nothing is totally off limits, I have asthma and migraine trigger foods that I can have a tiny bit of without issue but very little. If I go beyond my calories eating I just simply adjust a couple days and I'm good. At home I eat no processed and try to make the best choices I can elsewhere, my body doesn't usually feel very well straying away from whole foods, eating too much, or eating much meat or fatty foods. So it's more a something I do not do.
