I am obsessed with the scales. I know it's bad but I can't help but weigh myself. I get so depressed when I see that I've not lost any or if there is a slight increase.

Tomorrow I am starting my pilates challenge. I've challenged myself to do at least 20mins pilates each day. I have to start getting my body moving. It's going to be tough, especially after work as I'll be tired. Also starting the 100 push ups challenge. That will be fun!

I've read that a persons weight can vary as much as 4 lbs from water alone. The recommendation is to weigh yourself every week. If you weigh every day then the recommendation is to average the last 3 readings to flatten out the bumps. Overall it's important to look at other markers such as how your clothes are fitting. Basically the scales can lie. Have fun on your challenges. They should be fun.

You might consider reading an interesting article. GOOGLE "Why the Scale Lies" and you can learn about the normal fluctuations that happen. Perhaps take measurements with a tape measure - that is usually a nice way to see progress.

Hi all, Thank you for your comments. I didn't weigh myself this morning. I resisted! I read some interesting articles and will be trying hard to drink more water. Did pilates this afternoon and my push ups. It's a slow start but it's a start. Thanks for being here!
