Redporchlady's Journal, 04 Oct 22

This is my Hex Bar Deadlift out of a free app I use. You can see my newbie gains in the beginning and then a dip where I had an injury. The reason I posted today is that I have had a terrible cold, sinus and cough that I caught from my grandson but I have continued to work out not feeling good for the last two weeks. Some of my workouts have been affected as I start losing wind by the end but I have been proud that I did it and hopefully when I am 100% back to normal I will have a killer workout.

OTB it is strengthlevel and it is free app. I don’t know if they have a phone app but I just use the website on my phone or computer. https://strengthlevel.com it is perfect for tracking your workouts. You can follow others and search for other lifters in your age bracket. A lot of nice features.

I have to admit. I tried some apps to keep track of my weightlifting but I don’t like it. I am old school. Pen and paper 🤪

Definitely impressive! I also love this graph style for tracking, maybe this will help with my lack of focus. Sending you positive vibes for your health to return soon :-)

Golfmarina thanks! Nothing wrong with the old fashioned way. My trainer still uses paper and his stacks are so high in his office you cannot see him!

LivinBreezy - Thanks! I love the app because I can look back also and see if my reps were increased or my weight. It is definitely not a race! Consistency is the rule here but also continuing to provide challenge to those muscle groups.

Kenna! That would be a bad EKG! 🤣

OTB - the app calculates your 1RM based on your lifting stats, age and weight so I have never done that. I don’t think my trainer would ever allow me to try in fear I would hurt myself!!
