time to make a training plan and set some goals trying to maintain isn't working I'm packing on some chunk and I don't like it. I'm obviously not getting the maintaince thing right. I set things in motion last night by signing up for the philly 15k tough mudder in May so I have 8 months to prepare. this will be a big step up from the 5k I did last week. I also got my wife to sign up for the 5k one so she has something to train for as well.

I love a good goal and getting competitive with myself. Your "reward" is actually super-fun though. Mine will be going to visit my brother in Berkeley for T-giving. How is your wife training for her race?

we're still talking through our strategies now and comming up with plans for each of us. I'm going to make dates that I want to hit certain milages of running and lifting goals. also going to make a body fat % goal . I'm very goal oriented if I have something specific to hit and an incremental plan to get their my chances of success skyrocket. failures not and option I'm already signed up and paid for it.

MorticiaAddams thanks I'm off to a go start with repairing the amall amount of damage I did. Today I upped my step count to 17k steps decreased my calories alittle bit and got a lifting session in. I made way to many changes at once by decreasing activity to rest before the mud run and increasing calories ... should have left the calories alone and I would have been fine but ohh well live and learn... I'll figure the balance out eventually

I love seeing spouses work together on goals. Hubby is still trying to lose some weight and I have been in maintenance but we are competing at the gym and having fun. Can’t wait to see how all the goals shake out!

Redporchlady i gice uou so mucj credit maintenance is deffintly way harder than trying to lose the weight I'll figure it out eventualy I need to get back where I was and try again. So frustrating 😫

OTB I have my moments and it took a bit to figure out my macros to maintain. I told my trainer that I can lose weight but I just can’t keep it off. He has really held me accountable and helped with the macros. I have my 4 year old grandson all weekend so going to the park and practice for a future muddier! 🙌🙌

Nice one bro💪💪💪. What's the difference between 5k and 15k, the toughness, the distance or both?
16 Sep 22 by member: ginome
ginome it's both the running distance will be 3 times as long at around 9.5 miles and there a r drastically more obstacles many that require significant upper body strength to get through.

I think the 15k will be perfect. Def sounds like it’ll be more of a challenge and it seems like you thrive off challenge! 👍
