Hope your weekend is going well! It's smokey here from the wildfires nearby but has thankfully cooled down a bit temperature wise. It's almost noon and the AC is not turned on yet...that's AMAZING!

Complacency is my biggest obstacle right now on my fitness journey. Being in maintenance has made me LAZY!!! The scales haven't changed, but I feel squishy and lethargic. SOMETHING has to change! I am on this journey as much for FITNESS and HEALTH as I am for weight loss and right now I don't feel fit OR healthy!

Instead of badmouthing myself though, I will get my calendar out and pencil in some workout video choices and once again put my focus on MOVEMENT! More steps, more lively music to promote spontaneous bouts of dancing, less time in my recliner (for sure!) and more smiling😁 My face needs exercise too!!

Today's the day...let's pack snacks & make tracks! 💃🏻🦶🏻👍🏻

I am with you! Post knee surgery I have a goal to walk non-stop for 3 hours. Suspect it will probably take me to December 2023 to achieve it without major swelling the next day. 🥰 This is great post. Maintenance is hard. Keep going and challenging yourself

Brings back memories of my moms Richard Simmons album.. he had an entire section dedicated to facial exercises and the benefits of smiling. So true ☺️

I find maintenance to be harder than losing the weight. It definitely takes discipline vs motivation. I told my trainer when I started 4 years ago I can lose the weight but I can never maintain. He still has me turn in my food journals weekly so I just print them right off FS. Holds me accountable and I strength train 3x a week. I used to walk a lot but for me the strength training is enough. Good luck but have the battle is knowing what we need to do. You got this! 💯💯

APhoebe... I used to like Richard and his energy, back in the day but had never seen his facial exercise routine. I just know that I FEEL so much better if I remember to smile😊💕

I am with you! I have been trying maintenance for several weeks now and I can’t believe I’m saying this but I feel like it’s so much harder than weight loss! Let’s hang in there!

John10251...I agree about the challenges. So far, my main challenges have been pinpointing maintenance calorie amount, staying on track with macros and keeping up on my exercise goals. It's very similar to the challenges of losing weight, but with the additional tendency to become careless with food choices.😮

3dkids2...you stay strong too!! We didn't put in all those months of hard work to get lazy now, right?? So yes...we'll pack snacks and make tracks...together!!
