wholefoodnut's Journal, 19 Feb 15

I would love to call in sick today and play hooky. Not sick, just could use a few more days at home to get some order back in my life. I want to get back to working out and eating right..instead of opening the frig and freezer and eating what is quick and easy. Calling in sick is not an option from Jan 2 to April 30 as it can mean losing a good size bonus.

Sort of glad the weather forecast is not good for the weekend, though I do want to get up to Sprouts and a home depot stop at the same time. Means I will mostly stay home. The attic should be done today or tomorrow. YAY!! hopefully we have caught all the coons who were getting in.

Time to get ready to go to work. Have a good day all, and stay warm

It's crazy how being busy results in less food planning, hmmm. I was thinking myself about how much time and effort I used to take with my meals even while taking care of Cutty. Now I'm on the run, drive thru, etc. But as I continually write.. it begins here. Today. Too bad you can't take the time off... I understand those bonuses.

WFN: Know what you mean about wanting some time for order! Hang in there .... April 30 will be here before you know it - we are almost finished with February (where did the time go?). Yay re: the attic and good riddance to those coons!

thanks, I have 3 vacation days off in march, I learned after the first tax season to try for an extra long sanity weekend break sometime during that month. Life should be settling down a little bit soon.

Hang in there. My eating also goes to pot as work hours increase. Good plan for a mental health day in March.

I really really need my kids to go back to school lol. A week of snow days and now february vacation, they are killing me. Do you have any of that old textured linen looking wallpaper? Did that come down OK? I am tempted to beadboard over the whole lot.

I know how you feel WFN. It would be hard to work those many hours when there were projects at home waiting for me to finish. You must be getting excited seeing the results of the paper coming down, etc. Hang in there.

I'm good today, the guys finished my attic, they will still do a couple updates for me that I can't do by myself but we need the weather to break. there are only so many hours in a day. When jobs require extra hours, family things happen, car or house issues, they are important priorities, meal planning and exercise can take 2nd place. I simply can't fit it all in at times. I'm not happy that I'm missing workouts, my body complaining, but priorities. Choices. I chose to fix my house issue, I'm not about to let my home deteriorate.

Draglist, I think it was just the day, every co-worker I talked to was tired, had trouble getting to work yesterday.
