I'm continuing to recover well from my latest knee replacement; next Monday it will have been 3 months ago. I worked out the last 4 days in a row; Zumba, Pilates, Pilates, and Zumba Gold. This is my day of rest, and physical therapy. It's a beautiful sunny day here, and I'm loving it! We've been breaking records with these gorgeous days; downside is the below-normal snowpack in the mountains....

I'm still addicted to sweets, but am getting a better handle on it, slowly. The other day I caught myself doing a former-fat-lady trick; bought a small baggie of mini M&Ms from the bulk bins at Winco and ate them in the car on the way home. Wake up call! Especially since I dropped some on the seat, between my legs, and narrowly escaped walking into the house with chocolate stains with shards of color stuck to my butt, LOL!

I made some no bake chocolate hemp cookies today, a healthier sweet treat with a good amount of protein, fiber, omega 3.....and they taste great. I made some nice dark chocolate-chopped dried cherry-hemp heart-shaped chocolates to share with my Pilates class on Valentine's morning; they were appreciated, and delicious. I ate several, so I gave the rest to a favorite Zumba instructor after Pilates on Sunday.

After Zumba yesterday, one of my classmates came over and complimented me on how great I looked, what great shape I'm in so short a time after my surgery, that I'm an amazing inspiration. That made me feel a lot better than chocolate does, even if I blushed. I thanked her, and joked about how my surgeon said I should be her poster woman for how a good knee replacement looks (she did both my knees).

I'm going to a big two hour Zumba fundraiser on the 28th, and hope to be a bit thinner, and a lot stronger by then. I need to build up my endurance more, so I should get off my bottom and ride my exercise bike, even if I just feel like resting on my day off from the gym.

I'm doing better at each class. Pilates is amazing at helping rebuild my muscles; my right hamstring and glutes are so sore and tight after the weekend of Pilates in spite of all the stretches and rolling and massaging I do. Zumba Gold yesterday helped shake some of it out, and my physical therapist helped a great deal. Great progress can be painful.

We're going to Sweet Tomatoes for dinner, so I don't need to cook, and I can eat all the veggies I want, hooray! I've been trying to get back to eating lots of veggies and fruit, like making a mixed vegetable curry with chickpeas, or a sandwich of chicken breast, hummus, feta, spinach, tomatoes, & cucumber slices on a whole wheat Greek pita. Sweet Tomatoes takes the work out of it!
