newnormal's Journal, 14 Feb 15

Yesterday went well. Ate early before leaving for the Tampa day trip and then actually didn't end up eating lunch. By the time I got back, I decided to wait for the dinner date. I had steak fajitas, ate half of the meat/veggies and 1 tortilla and had a glass and a half of sangria. The sangria had more sugar/carbs than my entire meal but very, very good. I took home the balance of the meat and veg with the lettuce and tomato and cheese so that will be dinner tonight I think.

Went to brunch with a friend this morning who's having a hard time. Her very close friend of almost 30 years committed suicide about a week ago and she was the one to find her. She's doing better than I would expect but of course going through her journey on this one. All I can do is encourage her to look for the best and reminding her that she had no control over her friend's choice. She knows this in her head, but..ahhh...the heart...Keep her in prayer if you would. She can use all the love and support.

Reconnecting tomorrow for lunch with a friend I haven't seen in almost 2 years. Seems like we've all "gone to ground" the last couple years, dealing with things and now trying to reach out again. I've missed her and I will be nice to see her again.
