Sprouts opens today!!!! the natural food store that is opening closer to me. I'm trying to talk myself into going to the gym instead, I'm not succeeding very well. I'll take my gym bag to work, no promises. I've been excited about the store for months... Thing is that I won't need much until next week from the store.

Strange having to figure out how to add sodium instead of cutting it back. Will add seaweed to my smoothies starting today, I have several kinds, and pack a couple pickle spears in my lunch. Hopefully not a work through lunch day.

Dang have to get ready to go to work..

Lucky you for getting a Sprouts store near you! We just had a Grants store open up near us. LMAO! That's the best we will get! We went in there yesterday to support the local grocer and the vegetables were wilting. Ah well! We have a Dollar General and a Grants now. We have moved up in the world. LOL!

I googled Grants and came up with a small supermarket chain, looked like a regular small chain. I've seen lots of wilted veggies lately, I'm wondering if they have been partially frozen enroute with the cold weather. I'm so excited not having to drive 35 miles one way to an affordable natural store with good produce and meats. I'll still stop in the ethnic stores etc. and hunt out new ones. I printed their ad, of course my shopping list is now longer. :)))

Plan, since I have not talked myself out of going to Sprouts... Go there straight from work. Then home and find a youtube kettleball workout. I've just been doing moves from the directions or things I've seen people do at the gym, never a whole workout. Just bought the balls around New Years.

Yeah, Grants isn't the place to find organic or specialty items for sure. I have looked at the kettle ball on your table near the Christmas tree and they are so cool. Let me know how you like using them. I need to start lifting weights or doing something. I will think about it more after I get off this 28 day diet.

Sprouts isn't all organic but they aim for foods that are produced naturally without a lot if chemicals. It was packed with people! Well stocked, lots of staff on hand, good specials, glad I did go. Even the customers were nice... did a short YouTube kettle ball beginner workout, I only used the 5# ball, 50 sit-UPS on my exercise ball, some triceps and biceps curls with my 3# weights about 30 minutes. I think the kettle balls will be good, will try a longer one next, easy to do in my rather small living room. After not eating much yesterday had a higher calorie day, also added some sodium. I did buy some lightly salted cashews, felt funny buying salted.

It has to be exciting to have a nice store like that near you. I am so envious you were able to do 50 sit ups. You are doing great! I suppose you have done such a great job eliminating salt from your foods, you overdid it? LOL! You sound as if you are feeling better.

I've been counting the days for the new store, I'm strange. That's what my doc's nurse said about the salt. I'm feeling terrific, no idea what the queasy stomach thing was, maybe the pneumonia shot the day before but no clue.

Thought it was going to be a higher calorie day. The chicken sausage was actually a basil one not hot Italian, so yummy.

Glad you have decent stores to go to with good selections. The Food Lion here didn't have any organic produce. The super center Walmart ten miles away had only one variety of organic apples and a couple bags of organic celery. I like working out with my 10 kettle ball, but I mainly use the 8 lb hand weight. Thinking about getting a 15 kettle ball to change it up a bit. Don't want to get something that might put my arm out of joint :)

The smallest kettle ball at the gym is 20#. Too heavy for me to start with. I'd been looking at them here and there, trying to do some of the moves with a dumbbell, was hard to hand on to. I saw the set advertised for 19.95, bought them. The new store is 15 miles one way, much better than 35. I gave a small grocery at the corner about a mile it's handy and they do carry some local produce in the summer, they do have limited choices. Everything else is 5-10 miles. I tend to stop in small ethnic stores on my way home from work, and there is one nice large supermarket.

Jeri, your kettle ball set is really nice. I have shoulder pain so I am limited to 3 pound dumbbells.

3# dumbells are great! I have 3 pound foam covered hand weights that I love. I'm on 5# kettleball no more yet. Not sure how far I will get. I haven't seen 3# kettleballs maybe they are out there. I also have to be a bit careful with permanent nerve damage down my arms from my old neck injury .

http://www.fitnessblender.com/videos/beginner-kettlebell-workout-kells-kettlebells-routine That is the kettlebell workout I currently am doing. It is a great workout and free. I have definitely started noticing a difference in my arms. :)

Awesome, that was the next one on the YouTube list that I was going to try. Tomorrow maybe. Did the gym today.

I used to have a Sprouts near my house when I lived in Southern California. It was pretty good, but about the same quality/selection as most other regular supermarket "healthy" sections. Now that I'm in northeastern PA, I'm so fortunate to have a really decent grocery store, Wegman's, with tons of organic offerings in their produce section alone and a "nature's marketplace" section that is the same size as a normal supermarket. I don't know what I'd do here if I didn't have that place, so I know how you feel about being excited to have healthier options!

We don't have those healthy selections in regular grocery stores here in the Midwest. That have gotten better but still have a long ways to go. So having a store closer than 30+ miles one way is a huge improvement. I'm hoping that if it is a success maybe others like whole foods will follow.
