davidsprincess's Journal, 26 May 22

I'm hesitant to say that I feel like my old self again because I've said it before and been wrong. It's only been about 5 days or so of being in complete control of my calories while hitting the gym daily to lift but I'm excited because it feels so fucking familiar. I'm remembering what I did and how I was and I do believe (confidently enough to post it) that I'm back. The difference is that I'm going to love myself along the way. Everyone who told me to give myself grace after my brother died and I was such an asshole...I apologize. I don't love being fat but I love me and I love that God has given me another day to do better. It seems to have played a key role in my desire to get back to where I was. Beating myself up kept me from enjoying my every day blessings and that's just fucking sad.

I'm glad you are feeling better by myself. 5 or so days of being in control of my calories is about what it takes for me to start getting motivated.

Today is the 6th anniversary of my oldest brothers death. He didn't take very good care of himself and it was probably avoidable. Grief is a process. Take your time and care of yourself. I can say that time does make it easier on the heart.

Beautiful girl, it has been so hard. I am so glad to hear you are feeling like yourself. You know what works for you, and you work so hard. You are the best there is! I am so thankful for you. Your value is not ever about the number on the scale or the number of times you make it to the gym each month, but I know how it makes you feel stronger seeing success where you want it. Cheering for you!!! May your heart feel lighter and your resolve strong! ♥️♥️♥️

I'm sorry, saigegirl, for your loss. ❤️ Thanks, Sherry and 66 pack. Melissa - thank you. I was going to tell you first but I honestly didn't plan to post this yesterday. Another post was the opposite and somewhat how I used to be and I wanted to counter that because it was nauseating to read and I started thinking that I didn't want to be seen that way. Treating myself better doesn't mean I'm not accountable for my actions. It means that my life is amazing regardless and every mistake is just a way to reinforce the good habits. I love you! You're the best fs friend a girl can have! 💪🏼 Now I must rise for coffee and muscle making. Have a great day!
