Today is Watermelon Wednesday!🍉🍉

I know it's not officially summer yet...(the weather's not even CLOSE where I live😄) but I happened to pick up some watermelon the other day and it sure TASTED like summer! As I sit and plan my garden, and dream of days where I'm bringing in food from my yard instead of from the grocery store, I just might include 1 watermelon plant🙂

Hope you are having a wonderful week. We're halfway to the weekend now, how are ya doin on those goals? I bought the quinoa yesterday and will look up a recipe for tonight. (That was one of my goals, to try quinoa for the first time). I also used my resistance bands to work out with yesterday, and plan to use them again tomorrow. I'll do low-impact cardio every other day. I'm still struggling to get the 8 glasses of water down every day...only got 7 yesterday🤷‍♀️

Gotta get busy around here. Enjoy the journey my FS friends and please be kind to yourselves💙🌷💙

Hi Crystal! I love watermelon! It's one of my favorite fruits! I've been known to eat a whole watermelon in a couple of days! So sweet and definitely tastes like summer!🍉🍉🍉💜💜

I am getting cut up watermelon lately and adding granola as a snack or breakfast

Botanically it's a fruit - anything that bears the seeds. It's a cucurbit like cukes and squashes and other melons. That means that tomatoes and peppers are also botanically fruits.
