Happy Food for Thought Thursday 🕵️‍♀️🍴🤔

Choices...this journey really boils down to our choices throughout the hour, throughout the day & throughout the week.

Some days, our choices are more limited than others, either by where we are or what's available at the moment. That's why it's best to think ahead, make a plan, and have a back-up plan as well.

The examples below show the situation we can find ourselves in by NOT planning ahead. And ya know what?...occasionally it might even be worth the splurge😋

But if we are trying to make lifelong, healthy changes to our WOE, the sooner we learn to limit the 'splurges'...the BETTER!!

💙🌷💙

It is good to note how many calories you would consider for each meal and snack that is appropriate for your body. Even 590 may be too much for breakfast. However it may be fine then eat a little less at your next meal. Just a thought.

I agree @SeniorSaint...that is more calories than I have at one meal also, but for many here, it is within their maintenance calorie budget. I also 'juggle' my calories each day so that it all 'evens out' 🤹‍♀️

I find it odd and interesting how easy it is to consume a large number if concentrated calories in one sitting and not feel "stuffed." When tempted to eat that way, I try to bring to mind how good I feel after my ~200 cal breakfast of bacon and eggs.

@trackin64...I find that I, personally, do better with 3 small-ish meals with nutritious snacks in between. I don't have trouble with blood sugar...but I just can't HOLD that much food at a time!😁 It doesn't work for everybody, but it works for me💙

Learned a valuable lesson yesterday. Bought a fancy iced coffee drink with breakfast, had no idea it contained 400 calories...lesson learned, I will be researching more. I'm new to this, so it's one day at a time for me. Definitely going to be a learning experience, live and learn...

that is such a great reminder of - if you preplan and set your Food Plan and take all the steps of preparation - You can gain so much more food for your caloric intake - month by month - that fact continues to arise at times - as in when you have a quick anything and then add up the calorie count and then think - Wow I could have had a really healthy and voluminous nice meal with lots of better tastier foods in place of that one thing for so many calories......then next month we once again learn the same thing.

Hi Diana!👋 How very nice of you to stop by my page today😊 I find that I actually have a hard time eating SO MUCH, especially when adding any cals for maintenance! It just seems like too much food now. Trying to keep from feeling I'm developing an eating disorder, and instead think of it as an eating readjustment 💙
