Happy Saturday Y'All 🌷💙

Ya know, when I first started here on FS, I came just to lose weight. But I found I have GAINED!! Gained self-confidence, gained better health, gained more mobility and gained many MANY friends along the way💙

Here's to GAINING while we LOSE!! 👍👍👍

A friend turned me onto the avocado, banana, and cocoa trick, but I usually only use half an avocado and drink it like a shake. Yum! 😋

It's pretty amazing stuff! Not everyone knows this, but when your avocados get ripe, you can throw them in the fridge and they'll keep longer

Gotta try some of these. Sounds like a good way to circumvent my ice-cream addiction! You're right about the tiny print. Old eyes motivated to work it out.

Best quick chocolate mousse is mashed up avocodo, cocoa powder, sweetener (honey or sugar free syrup) and flavor (orange, almond, vanilla all work great) with 2T water -whip and chill. My fav for ice cream blend 2Tbsp flax seed with 1/4 c whey isolate powder, once emulsified add frozen fruit - strawberry, blueberries, raspberry, mango all work well - its like a completely dinner in a soft serve dish.

It appears interesting - but still - when I want ice cream I go to the DQ.

@writingwyo...you're right...I didn't know about putting avocados in the fridge...I had always heard it was a no-no🤔

Too funny - it is the end of the day for me - Thanks be for one thing anyway - Your post is all about sweets today ... and I darn near ODd on salt. I think that I finally figured out a thing or two --- and tomorrow of course, is the first day of the rest of your life...and all of that stuff. Better to eat something sweet than to eat salt....I got it - I can learn.

i don't understand. why eat these? nonfat yogurt is out there. berries. iced limeade, lemonade with sugar sub. I had to self talk myself out of that other stuff for five and a half hours one day when i obsessed and it worked. kept hands busy and did other things and walked around for awhile too. danced to music. made it. got sleepy and woke up next day without it. what a triumph it was! i have particular trouble with that because my parents fed me ice cream on their fingers as a baby. i don't actually miss it. because i know what it does to my arteries and heart. and i don't really want to die from it.
