Candied rose petals are an old and romantic recipe - (during preparation - first I ate the candy and then the rose petals - and had to start over) Nice - very nice Joe Alec.

If you are a forger of "flowery foods" - In their season - the Nasturtiums are a very bright flower and add a spicy hot flavour to salads and most dishes - very nice.

I'll keep an eye out for those! I keep thinking about picking all the violets I find lately, but I also want to leave some for the pollinators

Lilacs are also 100% edible - for those persons so attracted to that scent - eat some flowers and leaves while you are there. I made some lilac infused honey and tonic a few years ago - it has an astringent quality that predominates in the early spring - in many flowers and tree blooms - after a long winter - a slight astringency may be a human/creature requirement - IDK.

Like those little tiny English lawn daisies - pick 11 flowers and seep in a Chinese tea cup - that helps to expel lung congestion - and you can eat the flowers and drink the slightly green tea. (Never feed daisy to children though) There was a reason that our ancestors nursed all those European plants over the sail ship Atlantic Ocean crossing...that was the thousands of years old - Big Pharma of the day - genetically speaking - cauc-asians are used to using those older plants for medicinal purposes - that may not be true for all persons. (There I am finished being wise for today - Now back to normal)
