I just hopped on to record my lunch and realized that I hadn't written anything in my journal today. I had all kinds of plans but ended up taking Kitty back to the vet. He will have to spend the weekend in the animal hospital. That means that I am going to be sooo broke!
We had a light rain and now the sun is coming back out - and it is just like my day is starting over. So am getting off this computer and maybe will get something accomplished yet.

Oh so sorry Kitty has to stay at animal hospital. Did they say what was
wrong?
We had a BIG storm here and we got .30 in just a short while. Had
ponds where there are none. Cows ran for cover in the woods.
We had such a nice moring up until 3 pm then we got the storm. Ok now
and cows are out eating their hay. Later girl.....Bren

Bren - Hope there was no damage from that storm. Kitty's blood work is inconclusive but our vet suspects a viral infection. He was severely dehydrated and had to be put on an IV. He took me back to see him before I left. The only other cat having to spend the weekend was an old scraggly looking one. The vet said that it belonged to a widower and the cat was his wife's. He said "so I had to keep that cat alive". I love my vet!

Hi Buffy not a lot of damage per say here but haven't heard about any where else yet. Probably on tonights news.
Oh bless little Kitty's heart. Glad you have a great vet. I had one two with Sissy my poodle. Sissy went limp on my and we couldn't find out what
was wrong and so her vet suggested we take her to VT and thats when we found out about her addison's and they saved her life. Got to bring her home Christmas Eve. She lived for 6 more years. So I root for VT every season. Never liked football before in my life. Hahahaha.
Hope things go well for you as well....Bren

Hi again Buffy, I just looked out at the newly developed pond and saw 2
ducks swimming in it. What a hoot!!!!!Bren

Bren - it is heartwarming that you got to spend another 6 years with her. My best friend had a poodle who was ill for years with diabetes. When she passed it took her 9 years before she could get another dog. How long will it take you?

Hi Buffy, my Sissy had diabetes as well as thyroid problems. Well it will
be 3 years the 16th of this month. I can't say if I will or won't have another dog. Losing her was like losing a child as she was my child. I have no children. But I have lots of nieces and nephews to love on and I
do just that. I have been blessed with sister that let me love on them all
I want..Isn't that great? .....Bren

Bren -having step children and step grandchildren I do know exactly what you mean.

Oh Buffy, so sorry your Kitty is in the hospital over the weekend. Is this a vet that you can go see Kitty while he's there? Even on the weekend? I sure hope so. Hope he's on the mend so he can come home soon.
